GARDEN GROVE, Calif. �?? Multiple officials and terrorist experts suspect the man threatening vicious attacks against the United States in a purported terror tape is Adam Yahiye Gadahn (search), a young American who converted to Islam.
Their suspicions were echoed by the director of a California mosque, who told FOX News on Friday he also believes Gadahn is the man in the mysterious video.
Haitham Bundjaki, the Orange County imam who converted Gadahn to Islam and whom Gadahn later assaulted, said outside his mosque that it sounds like Gadahn on the tape.
The FBI believes the 25-year-old Southern Californian has possible ties to Usama bin Laden’s (search) terror network Al Qaeda (search).
In the video, aired Thursday night by FOX News, a man wearing dark glasses and an Arab headdress wrapped around his face claims to be an American member of Al Qaeda and promises attacks that will make the streets of America “run red with blood.”
From the gestures and voice, Bundjaki told FOX outside his Garden Grove Mosque where Gadahn became a Muslim, “I believe it was Adam.”
Some U.S. officials had already speculated that the voice might belong to Gadahn, who also goes by the names Adam Pearlman and Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki.
In May, the FBI announced that Gadahn had ties with senior Al Qaeda lieutenant Abu Zubaydah in Pakistan, and that he had attended terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and served as a translator for the terror network.
“The magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11th,â€?? the man calling himself “Azzam the Americanâ€?? says on the video. “After decades of American tyranny and oppression, now it’s your turn to die. Allah willing, the streets of America will run red with blood, matching drop for drop the blood of America’s victims.â€??
Ok, America. Have you now had enough? Isn’t it FINALLY time we get busy putting an end to such traitors as this? I purpose that every effort be made to return this “person” to the United States. Alive, if possible – dead, just as good. If in fact he *is* brought in alive, I submit to you that his actions and his association with the enemy constitutes his trial and his guilty verdict. Further, I demand that a new penalty be instituted for citizens-become-enemy combatants: Death, by slow torture.
I lean towards the American Indian method of making a minor incision in the lower groin, pulling a loop of gut out and securing it to a stake. The condemned is then forced to walk his own guts out of his body while being driven along by citizens with burning sticks. When he finally reaches ‘the end of the line’, he shall be scalped and then have his ears and nose cut off and eyeballs slit open before a fire is built over his quivering, but still breathing, remains.
But if you prefer, we could use the time-honored method of having him ‘Drawn and Quartered’. I’m told it is ‘more humane’.
But since when is it necessary to be ‘humane’ to someone – one of our own – who promises to kill innocents, our very children, in our streets?
I can see the emails I’ll get now…. “You horrible man!”, “…cruel and unusual punishment…”, “He’s someone’s son!”, and so on. To this I say: “Grow a spine, you pussies!” God damn it, I’ve had a fair portion of my spine removed and yet have more backbone than ALL of the freakin’ bleeding heart Leftist in this Nation!
When are you going to catch on that this is not a war that will end with a cease-fire, peace talks, and a treaty? The War on Terror will end when either the terrorist are all dead, or America is dead. You had best make you minds up now what side you are on. Either go join Gadahn, or kill him and those with him. Time for playing and being soft is now over.

Cruel and unusual punishment is forbidden by the Bill of Rights. Why do you hate the Constitution so? For that matter, why do you hate civilization so?
You should not suggest a punishment unless you are willing to suffer it yourself. You do realize that not everyone convicted of a crime is actually guilty of committing that crime, do you not?
In any case, the War on Terror is over.

The Founding Fathers had VASTLY harsher ideas of what was cruel and/or unusual.
And if you think the War on Terror is over – regardless of the outcome of the election, (which I sadly tend to agree with you is going to Kerry), you are both sadly mistaken and showing ignorance of both fact and history.
It’s over because it never existed to begin with. FDR didn’t declare a War on Surprise Attacks after Japan attacked us at Pearl Harbor. We went to war with Japan. Similarly, we weren’t attacked by “terror;” we were attacked by Al Qaeda. We can’t ever defeat a tactic, but we can hunt down and kill those who attack us. They, unlike “terror,” are not insubstantial.
Not incidentally, this is why I am very, very pissed that OBL has not been captured. He’s not even hiding in a cave hooked up to a dialysis machine as was rumored. No– he’s alive and well, and laughing not only at Bush, but you and me. This little adventure in Iraq gave Al Qaeda enough time to regroup and successfully carry out a train-bombing massacre in Spain. Now it appears that terrorists may have gotten their hands on hundreds of tons of bona-fide military grade explosives thanks to our hurry to secure the Oil Ministry, and precious little else, in Iraq.
Sorry– don’t mean to go off on a rant. But I take America’s safety very seriously. I don’t see how Bush has made us safer by forgetting about Al Qaeda.
