Funny the things people will ask at times… Like why am I so adamantly opposed to John Kerry. Makes you wonder if they ever once actually READ one of my post on the topic, don’t it?
I have all of the problems with our Democratic candidate of any other right thinking American. The reason I’m so verbose is a bit more complex. You see, I like to watch people. Nope, no degrees. No papers to write. I simply like to study humans. Always have. So for the last couple of years I’ve watched those who made rumblings of seeking office. I had hoped that the Democrats would choose the best possible man for the job. Yet out of the entire field they chose not the best man, just the most dangerous. The Congressional Record is there for all to read. Phone calls can still carry you a long way, too. If you take the time to look, John Kerry becomes more and more the liar, the cheat, and simply dangerous. The single one best point to keep in mind about Kerry is that the man can’t stay the course on anything. I do mean anything! (I should know one such as that on site. I spent most of my life being the same way. Difference is that I got over it.) That makes him very dangerous for he has also had to cover his own ass his entire life and despite all, has been damned sucessful. But look close and see the trail of bodies stretched behind him. Victims one and all of his lies, his indecision, and the need to cover his failures.
Why the President’s councillors have not had him continue the attack on that front is beyond me.
I’ve watched our President as well. Have I seen Presidents that communicated better, looked better, simply made a better show? Hell yes! Do I need to remind you of George the Greater? Had a great look about him and a record second to none. ‘Bout Clinton, even? He was a scumbag, but he damned sure put on a great show doing it. And then there is the Great Communicator himself, Ronald Reagan. Said what he meant and meant what he said, and in the process accomplished more than anyone since WWII. However, George ‘W’ Bush is a real, believable, honest American, through and through. No matter what else goes down he will stand up for this country and guard it with his own life. Though in my mind it must be easier to give your own life than it is to send hundreds or thousands of other men to give theirs. That is a terrible burden to carry, but George ‘W’ can handle the load. He has shown that by how he has handled the worst thing to happen to America since the Soviet first tested an atomic weapon. Bush is backed by friends, supportive citizens, family, a loving wife, and a strength of Faith we’ve not seen this century. Granted, it isn’t my personal brand of Faith. Age has taught me that having Faith is more important spiritually than Who that Faith is in religiously speaking.
So we face the elections and a race, stunningly, to close to call. And my question remains unanswered. Why Kerry?
All I can guess is that America has become too dependant on the media’s ‘talking heads’ to tell them what to think, what to buy, and who to vote for on election day.
I said before that I felt like crying, and something very scared and deep inside of me, fears that the worst possible man – John Kerry -will soon be in the Oval Office.
