I find it hard to imagine the horror and devistation these people are dealing with now - and for days and weeks to come.

Most folks, at least in these shots, put themselves at risk either from curiosity, or disbelief, or sheer terror of what they were seeing.

Just months ago I experienced the fury of a major hurricane, (Ivan), for the first time up close and personal. We were on the “weak” side of the storm too! Parts of the coast and the towns there are still in ruins.
