‘Tis one ugly dog…
Sam, the undefeated Winner of the World’s Uglyest Dog competition…
Yeah, I know. He’s dead. He died at the age of 14 after winning the 2003, 2004, and the 2005 “Ugliest Dog’ contest.
The thing is, he looked like he was dead going into it! What made me blog this is seeing this year’s winner – Victoria, an Itatalian Grayhound – on the tube. Ugly? Yes. This ugly? Not even close!

Sam even has a 2006 calander, if you don’t mind looking at that face everyday. Frankly, I think that Sam’s companion, Susie, should get a medal for taking in such a dog – from a Rescue no less! The woman is a Saint.
Anyhoo, Rest in Peace, Sam. You gave millions of people a much needed laugh and distraction from the many troubles of today.
