The U.N. attack on the U.S. Constitution | The Bull Speaks!

Update: When I posted this earlier today I wrote down the wrong date! You see, this is not the first time the UN has attempted this kind of action. It’s not even the second time. This year’s date for hearings on a Global Gun Ban is – of all dates – July 4th, 2006. They (the UN) intends to attack the United States Constitution, and your personal Liberties, on our Independance Day! On American soil, no less!
~The Bull

A quick history lesson:

1776 to 2006.
Two hundred thirty years since we fought for – and won – our Freedom in the Revolutionary War.

1788 to 2006.
Two hundred eighteen years since the greatest document of Freedom the World has ever known, the Constitution of the United States of America, was ratified.

1789 to 2006.
Two hundred seventeen years since the ratification of the Bill of Rights. Citizens of the new-born United States, the memory of the British violations of civil rights before and during the Revolution still fresh in their minds, demanded a “bill of rights” that would spell out the immunities of individual citizens. They got what they wanted – a guarantee that the Constitution itself could never open the way to tyranny by the central government.

1861 to 2006.
One hundred forty five years since the strength of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were proved in the United States Civil War. At least 618,000 Americans died in the proving.

1917 to 2006.
Eighty nine years since the United States of America entered the Great War in an effort to halt tyranny and ensure Freedom. 320,710 American men were killed or wounded in the effort.

1941 to 2006.
Sixty five years since the entire globe was threatened with a thousand years of brutal dictatorship and genocide and the United States was drawn into the fray by a sneak attack by the Empire of Japan. 1,078,162 Americans were killed or wounded protecting our Freedom. Victory was ours.

Let us not forget the Heros that served in those conflicts I’ve not detailed:

  • War of 1812
  • Mexican War
  • Spanish-American War
  • Korean War
  • Vietnam War
  • Gulf War
  • and finally, the current War on Terror.

What did all of these conficts, these lives lost, have in common? A defense of Freedom. Your and mine. Freedom to speak what you think, to worship freely, to be free of Government intrusion in your private affairs, and to be able to defend yourself, your family, and your Nation from those that would do you harm and/or deny the Freedoms that are your birthright as an American.

Today…
News is out that the United Nations, that group of idiots proven by history to be totally unable to halt any threat to Freedom and Justice anywhere in the World, is planning an 11-day meeting beginning July 4th 2006 at U.N. headquarters in New York where the delegates will attempt to create a global standard of gun control, banning civilian fire arms ownership worldwide.

Yes, worldwide. Including here in the United States of America. Even though our Constitution guarantees that “…the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Should this worldwide ban be imposed, our Government will be pressured to strip every citizen of their guns by whatever means necessary. Our Constitution will be gutted by people that are not Americans. Our Rights are to be limited by such people as the Chinese and the Russians, and yes – even nations such as North Korea, Iran, and Cuba. Some fifty (50) dictatorships and six (6) terrorist states want to decide your right to defend your home and family, your right to hunt, your right to “keep and bear arms”. All people and places that I’m sure have America’s best interest at heart… NOT!

Think it can’t happen? Do you think that your Freedoms are there for all time? Do you think that your right to “keep and bear arms” is set in stone? If so, then you’ve not been paying much attention over the past couple of decades. Even within our own country there are those that would see the Constitution shredded and a “one world government” take charge of American soil and her citizens. I find myself thinking of Benjamin Franklin and a statement he made in a letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy [Nov. 13, 1789]. He said “Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in the world nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes.” True. How sadly true.

Remember that history lesson back at the beginning of this post? The one thing you should take from that is the fact that Freedom is not Free. It has a high price that must be paid for time and time again. Another lesson is that everytime America lets down her guard, even for a minute, we pay for it in blood.

Make you decision: Shall America give up her values and therefore her freedoms and perhaps her very existance, or shall America fight this – and every attempt – to rape our cherished Constitution? Your choice will be final. If you wish to fight this then contact your representatives in Washington and let your displeasure be known. Write to the President and directly to Kofi Annan of the U.N. at this address:

The Honorable Kofi Annan
Secretary-General of the United Nations
United Nations Headquarters
1st Avenue at 46th Street
New York, NY 10017

Let Mr. Annan know that we see the United Nation’s disrespect of our Constitution, and that we will never allow the U.N. to strip us of our rights as Free Americans!

One last quote from ol’ Ben to end this post:
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
