Seems that The Bull haas hit a nerve with the postings concerning scumbag sex offenders in our Communities.

This morning I received not one, but two, messages from someone concerning my post “Scum, the First Installment“. Check it out. It was my first posting concerning sex offenders living within an “easy walk” of my home. The person making the latest two comments posted the following statements in this order…

I would just like to say that the person who displayed this shit about Kevin Jonathan Paulsen is a F***ing idiot…my name is n##### ####### (masking by Bull. I don’t know why though…) his sister in law and would just like to say that you make it out like he went and saught her out, what really happend is that they both liked each other and were seeing each other he was 19 and she was 15 and they slept together and her mom was mad about it and wanted him to go to jail for what happend. IT MAKES ME SICK TO SEE THAT YOU DONT KNOW THE FULL DETAILS ABOUT THE ISSUSE BUT MAKE IT OUT TO SEEM LIKE HE ABUSED A LITTLE GIRL. SHE WAS ALL FOR IT AND WANTED TO SLEEP WITH HIM, THIS WAS ALL HER MOMS DOING. NOT TO SAY THAT HE SHOULD NOT OF SLEPT WITH HER BUT ITS NOT LIKE HE RAPED HER..I THINK YOUR SITE IS BULLS**T (Well, I am The Bull, aren’t I?) HE IS NOT SOME CLOWN HE IS A GOOD MAN WHO IS MARRIED AND HAS A DAUGHTER OF HIS OWN. AND FOR WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE WAS 19 WILL HAUNT HIM FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. ALL BECAUSE HER MOM WAS UPSET NOW HE HAS TO PASS OUT FLYERS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW HE IS A SEX OFFENDER AND THEN THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO NO NOTHING ABOUT THE SITUATION AND MAKE HIM LOOK LIKE A BAD GUY.

Me being me, having exactly zero tolerance for sex offenders, and having taken the time to right our Rules for this blog long ago, I thought you should all have the chance to read these thoughts right on the front page.

Let us face facts. Your brother-in-law, Kevin Jonathan Paulsen, is a CONVICTED SEX OFFENDER. Period.

That is all the “details” I, or any other right-thinking human, need to know.

He was an ADULT when he slept with a MINOR, and he knew what he was doing was a CRIME in this State. He should thank his lucky stars that the girl’s mother didn’t do more. Had it been my daughter… Well, let us just say it wouldn’t have gone so easy on him. This is, after all, Alabama.

Yes, his act will haunt him for the rest of his life. As it should.

May I also add that your level of command of the English language, spelling, punctuation, and grammar speak volumes about you.

Posting comments here is always welcome. Even ones that insult me. As in all things, though, it pays to read over the Rules first.

I don’t know… Sometimes people bother me. Especially the scum that hunt our children like wolves after lambs. I worked in a Rehab with young sex offenders. They can’t be “cured”. Prison just makes them harder. We have to deal with this class of criminal in some new fashion, but as of now I’m at a loss for an answer the population on the whole will tolerate.

Folks, Brendon here shows us that two things are true:
1) Some Northerners don’t do their research as he made some serious errors concerning The Bull, and 2) Brendon thinks himself superior simply due to his geographic location and (mostly) due the fact that he is a Liberal. This is the usual stance they take.

Still, he’s entitled to his opinion so his comment stays. I’m not even going to mask any of the terms he used. I *may* use his comment in a future post, however.

Regarding Brendan…. I’m 38, like him I do consider 19 year olds “kids”- of course my father-inlaw, who just turned 65 considers me a “kid”. That sort of opinion is purely subjective. Law can’t be subjective, so we have the concept of “Legal Age” and this usually begins at 18. True, 19 year olds can’t drink alcoholic beverages legally (something I don’t agree with, but that is another subject), but that does not make them minors.

That being said, I also know that when I was 15, I didn’t have the life experience or wisdom to make good, sound decisions- trust me, I made a LOT of mistakes, as I imagine we all did. Hence the reason for a LEGAL AGE.

As far as marriage at that age goes- there is still something called “Parental Consent”, at least in most states, so your argument about having to divorce when you turned 18 is null and void.

The Bull- a NeoCon Christian? I cracked up at this- hey Brendan, take the time to actually research who you are attacking- unless you like looking like an idiot! Not all conservatives are Christians and not all Christians are conservative (this comes from a CHRISTIAN LIBERAL).

Hmm- a “Legalist” (?)- meaning someone who believes in the Rule of Law? Without laws, moron, we would be a mob of ANARCHISTS and you wouldn’t be posting on a weblog- you would be holed up in a cave somewhere trying to defend yourself and family from all of the other crazies out there. Luckily, we have laws, and in the case of this great nation, a means to change them if we don’t agree with them; although, based on the nonsense that you posted, I will make the assumption that you don’t have the brains to actually understand the U.S. Constitution.

I will also assume that you are a Northerner, based on your derogatory comments about the South and Alabama in particular. I will think about you while I am enjoying 70 degree weather in December and you are up to your eyeballs in snow. Maybe we will all get lucky and you will get sucked up into a snowblower.
