1st Day of School – Time for a Warning | The Bull Speaks!

This morning The Bull and Lady Beth will send the youngest daughter off to her first day of school. I fully expect tears to flow freely at the moment of seperation, but not from ‘Loo Loo’, (A nickname. Don’t get your panties in a twist!). She is thrilled. The tears will come from Lady Beth. This will be her first child to be sent off to school. It will be The Bull’s 4th.

Next year we send off ‘The Brothers’. May the Gods give the school strength!

With children all across the county, and country, going back to school it is time for warnings to be posted for parents and teachers everywhere: Pedophiles are on the hunt! Even more so than usual. Be alert! Parents should not let their guard down simply because their are other adults watching after their children for eight plus hours a day. We should be even more vigilant!

Should there be any doubt as to what is hunting our children, let me give you three examples from the Mobile Press-Register just in the last week. Please note that in the second example the accused pedophile is a teacher!

A 41-year-old Mobile man was arrested today and charged with incest and second-degree rape in connection with an 11-month-long ongoing sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
Charles Edward Echols was being held as of this afternoon at the Mobile County Metro Jail in lieu of $6,000 bail, the jail log showed.
Echols is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl from March 2005 to February, said sheriff’s spokesman Chad Tucker.

Teacher arrested

With students set to start the Baldwin County school year Thursday, 44-year-old teacher at J. Larry Newton School is facing a felony charge of soliciting a boy by computer for sex, Fairhope Police Cpl. Craig Sawyer said today.
Andrew Neil Newton of Fairhope used his personal computer to chat with the boy online with the intent to lure him into a sexual act and met with him at least once, Sawyer said. Police launched an investigation after being contacted by a parent, he said.
Newton was arrested and booked into Fairhope City Jail Tuesday and was set to be transferred to the Baldwin County Corrections Center this evening, he said.

Foley man arrested on sex charges

A 42-year-old Foley man has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse in connection with contact with two 15-year-old south Baldwin County girls, sheriff’s officials said today.
Edward Elisha Nelson was booked today into the Baldwin County Corrections Center on the charges, said Lt. John Murphy. Nelson is charged with having sexual contact, but not intercourse, with the girls, who were acquainted with him, Murphy said.

Be forever vigilant!
Make no concessions!
Have Absolute Zero tolerance!
Give pedophiles no where to hide!
Demand the harshest of punishments!
Let it be known that we parents will not abide soft sentences for pedophiles. It is the Legal System’s duty to find and punish these monsters. Either they will do it to our satisfaction, or we will hire by our vote someone who will!

Bull, out.

It’s delicate matter a difficult question aspecially since we want to protect our children more than anything else. We want them to feel free but then there are threats all around. How to balance that? Sometimes I wonder if we focus to much on the threats acording to the saying: what you focus on you get more of?
I think the parents best contribution is to contact and get to know clasmates parents so that there are more parents to look for and protect the children. People have a tendency to close their eyes for others who might have porblems and they don’t know.
I wish Loo Loo the very best for her first day at school!

Renny, I agree with your assessment of a parents best contribution. However, vigilance is still required. There isn’t necessarily more sex offenders today, it is that more are being caught and jailed.

Let your children be free. Just take the time to locate threats and simply eliminate them first.
