Former school principal, Steve Dennis Thomas, pleads to child porn charges.
Former Baldwin County elementary school principal Steve Dennis Thomas pleaded guilty to two felony counts of possession and distribution of child pornography this morning in Mobile’s federal court.
Thomas, who worked for the Baldwin County Public Schools system from 1977 to 2002, first as a teacher then as a principal and administrator, was accused of sending and receiving pornographic images of children on his computer. Federal investigators also claim he had, with a Mobile man who also pleaded guilty to child porn charges, plotted to kidnap, rape, torture and kill the young niece of a man Thomas knew in Mississippi. Though prosecutors used that allegation to keep Thomas in custody after his arrest, no charges have stemmed from the accusations.
Appearing before U.S. District Judge Kristi DuBose in a red prison suit stamped with “Baldwin County Corrections Facility,” Thomas spoke only to acknowledge the charges and say he was guilty.Sentencing for Thomas, 57, was scheduled for Dec. 29.
Sadly, The Bull must report that Steve Dennis Thomas will NOT be sentenced to death by slow torture as he so truly deserves. Instead he will be sentenced to a relatively few years in prison during which time, we can only hope, he will be tagged as “Short Eyes” and become some Bubba’s new bitch. Then he will be released back into our community to attempt to prey on our children, when he isn’t treating his perpetually severe case of hemorrhoids.
Fortunately, Mobile, AL has The Bull, and many other concerned parents who will see to it that this real-life monster is followed for the rest of his natural life, and watched closely for ANY signs of even looking at a child. Flyers will be posted door-to-door in any neighborhood in which he tries to disappear. I can promise that he will have not a moment of peace so long as he choses to remain here.
The best thing that Steve Dennis Thomas can do is commit suicide at the earliest opportunity so as:
- To save his family any further pain and embarassment,
- Save the tax payers the cost of keeping his worthless ass alive,
- And, save those of us who really care the effort of keeping watch on him and having to hunt him down and dispose of him should he ever re-offend.
I sincerely hope someone sends you a copy of this, Thomas. I really do. Perhaps then you will indeed do the right thing.
