On Sept. 9th the Navy’s newest attack submarine was commissioned at the Port of Galveston Saturday with great fanfare.
First Lady Laura Bush gave the traditional command to the USS Texas, saying, “Man your ship and bring it to life!”
The vessel is the fourth Navy ship to carry the name “Texas”.
Run Silent, Run Deep, Texas!
