I am a life-member of NAMBLA known to Tom Reeves, his long time friend Mike, some Baltimore members Jim and others – but have been out of circulation for some time with severe depression.
I have been silent but would like to re-engage.At one time, I wrote up some stuff which got published, attended the SF chapter/conference, and DC conference, and contributed a few thousand dollars to NAMBLA when it seemed most needed.I hesitate to use my full name, so I was known as “Joel H.” or “Jay H.”I have been a strong advocate of child rights, but took issue with the anarchistic approach NAMBLA takes, and tried to steer NAMBLA towards a more libertarian perspective which involves recognizing the relative inadequacy children have for making prudent choices that suggests they should be monitored if they wish to try any addictive item such as sex, drugs, or smoking.
I recommended testing for ability/maturity as a way to “emancipate” children regardless of age, licencing/training for boylovers to help the system adapt and monitor our progress, supporting parental-involvement/responsibility in man/boy pairing/relationships much as the ancient greeks did, and encouraging stability via nurturing making love OVER casual playful sex due to the addictive qualities of “junk sex” (like junk food).
During the DC conference, I was asked to join the steering committee by Jim.Independently, I have written many editorial articals which have been published in a variety of papers across the country and overseas. I also wrote the ACLU when my career collapsed due to depression, attempting to file suit against the US government for violating my rights as a gay boy leading to chronic depression in childhood, and later as a boyloving adult with continuing needs being met by contining harm from oppression. Unfortunately the ACLU said it was not an appropriate time to engage the courts in this area. I am pleased to see that NAMBLA has finally secured their assistance.In any case, I want to move somewhere safer than here (tennessee) and perhaps you can make some recommendations. I’ve had trouble overseas because of the tremendous ageism which eminates from US media/influence – along with the expectations of prostitution from younger gays which I do not feel right about – it seems better to fight the good fight here at home. So I would first solicit your input on the best cities to live in as a boylover, preferably those with NAMBLA chapters, or where I might start one that could find a tolerant location. My finances are limited, so I can probably not afford the most expensive cities like NY, SFC or Boston. These are places I’m considering:Columbus Pittsburg Philladelphia. It’s a recurring theme in Clint’s movies that justice requires knowing the facts. As it turns out, I have committed no crime and am falsely accused. My membership in NAMBLA is a proud statement of my suffering as a child under oppression needful of intimacy at an early age due to a high IQ. Many children are slower to develop, but the human race could NOT have survived if cavemen were not sexual from an early age of puberty. So it is programmed into human genes to explore sexuality early on.
The law, as it stands fails to recognize these children such as myself, and causes us to become depressed/suicidal by oppressing our natural sexuality. It is a power-play by parents to assume that a child cannot develop intimacy skills from early teens especially if they can choose an adult they have a “crush” on, usually a wise choice, but not always – so parents can help decide.
I stand falsely accused of wanting to rape a boy. That was never the purpose of NAMBLA. We as a group wished to empower children to grow at their own best natural rate intimately, much as we empower children to study calculus or ABC’s in “honors” courses. Each child needs to have their own rate of development or that child’s rights are being violated. These rates vary widely depending on culture, genes and environment.
I have been attacked by strangers for dating 21yo male, and that was a hate crime with no basis. The 21yo male was quite happy with me and I him, but the attack ensued because I was older and gay. This makes many cities “unsafe”. Therefore I asked NAMBLA to advise on which ones would be safer. Safety for me, means safety from bigots such as yourselves who make improper assumptions, then act as judge, jury and executioner.

First of all, homosexuals are not pedophiles at heart. By saying that, you lose all credibility in the eyes of anyone who is not a red-necked bigot. Secondly, although anal sex seems unnatural to you (and to me), it is the only way for gay men to have sexual intercourse, and regardless of how ‘natural’ you view homosexuality to be, that’s just the truth of the matter. (You are lucky that you were born straight and can have intercourse without being labelled unnatural.) BUT having anal sex, or ANY sex with a child is undoubtedly unnatural. Let me say that i am pleased to find this site and that there are still good logical thinking people like you and others on here. People that believe are founding fathers wrote the constitution to protect decent law abiding citizens and organizations. Not boy molesting clubs like NAMBLA.
I am 23 years old and last year my mother confessed to me that she was molested when she was 5 years old. I had always had disgust towards pedophiles but when she told me what happened to her and the lifetime of pain and agony it caused i was furious. I wanted to go out and put a bullet in any child molester i could, and most of all this man in particular. I asked her who it was and she told me it was her fathers boss. She told me not to worry because he died about the time i was born and that he could no longer hurt her. It turned out that bastard got cancer and suffered a slow agonizing death, lingering for about 3 years before dying in pain. Because of her strong will she was able to calm my anger and help me turn it into good to help benifit others. I am currently pursuing a career in law enforcement and take my exam for a local department on august 24. It is my way of honoring my mother and doing my small part to ensure children in my community are safe from these predators.
A year ago i wished that the man who hurt my mother was not dead. I wanted to take his life. I was angry that he was dead and he would never know the humiliation of people knowing what a monster he was. But now i see it was gods way of justice and had he still been alive i may have done something that would have had a negative impact on my life.
The dangerous thing about organizations like NAMBLA is they hide behind the sick truth of what it is they do. They say they only “advocate” man boy sex when its members are actively going out and molesting and murdering children. They publish books with sick twisted accounts of man boy sexual relationships. They educate its members on how to molest children by publishing survival guides to having man boy sexual relationships. These guides give details on how to molest young boys and even how to flee the country by committing credit card fraud.

I was beginning to feel alone and persecuted for my feelings of anger and hatred for NAMBLA. I recently posted my opinions on another site only to be called stupid, freedom hating, and un American. I couldn’t believe it! These were educated people who clearly see what NAMBLA does. They were actually tiptoeing around the truth and saying NAMBLA has every right to exist! They said i don’t believe in freedom. It blows my mind to see how naive people are to the truth about the horrible things that go on in the world. Also i agree with Ashley when she says homosexuals do not need to be labled as pedophiles. While i find men having sex with other men discusting i still find it nowhere near as repulsive as men having sex with children. If two consenting adult men or women want to have a sexual relationship then they by all means can do so. I agree with her that these statements make those of us who want to bring NAMBLA to justice make us look rather uneducated. My main concern with pedophiles is the rapid acceptance of child sex abuse.
