Bull Contented, (nearly)

On this very early (2AM Central DST) Wednesday morning The Bull is a very contented man. Well, nearly so.

As the regular Reader will know, I’ve got six children:
The three youngest are my adorable step-children. Their bio-dad is a police officer in a nearby resort town and a ‘Master-at-Arms’ in the U.S. Navy. (Yes, their bio-dad is in their lives and in my not-so-humble opinion he does a pretty good job of it. He and Lady Beth have never allowed the drama that dissolved their marriage to interfere with the happiness of the kids. A very good thing.

The other three are older, from my previous marriage. The oldest is studying Nursing at the Univ. of South Alabama and doing a fine job, if I say so myself. The youngest spends each Summer with me and will arrive in less than a week. The middle child is now very close to 19 years old and is out on her own. Every father worries, especially about his daughters, but I’ve got to admit that it appears she is doing just fine. Between the constant drama put on by her bio-mom before the child left home and her current work schedule it has been three years since I set eyes upon my daughter.

Tonight she is sleeping under my roof again, and The Bull is a very happy ‘Daddy’! This is only a two-night visit, but I’ll take it. Sadly, she can not stay until next week when, (if my Ex doesn’t want to fight about something), my son arrives.

That, Dear Reader, would be a perfect moment! To have all six of my beloved children under my roof at once. Until that does happen I’ll have to be content with having five and just enjoy the special treat of having this grown child of mine visit while she can.
