One Big Pig! | The Bull Speaks!

The Bull gave this more than a little thought before posting. Of course, there are the anti-hunting idiots who will say “Oh! Poor pig!”. These butt-heads have no idea of the damage this introduced species does to the forest or to crops. Some will say “Eight bullets?” Danged hogs are armor-plated! I’ve literally seen .44 Magnum bullets fail to do anything more than shake a little mud off the side of a big boar hog.

“Big boar hog”… I’m gonna need to change the parameters of how I use that term.

Meet Alabama’s Monster Hog.

Monster Alabama Hog

Some big pig, ain’t it?
More than a big man’s weight heavier, and a couple of feet longer, than Georgia’s “Hogzilla”. Hogzilla originally was thought to weigh 1,000 pounds and measure 12 feet in length. National Geographic experts who unearthed Hogzilla’s remains believe the animal actually weighed about 800 pounds and was 8 feet long.

This beastie weighed in at a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9ft-4in from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. All confirmed with photos, official scales, and tons of witnesses. The big part of the story for me was that it was killed by 11 yr. old Jamison Stone of Pickensville, AL.
That’s right, 11 years old.

Jamison was using a customized .50 caliber S&W X-Frameâ„¢ revolver. Just goes to show that handguns do have hunting applications. (Sorry, gun-grabbin’, Liberal Loonies! )

Speaking of Liberal Loonies, you should visit Jamison’s website and read some of the vile comments left by the PETA crowd. They even go so far as to include wishes for Jamison, (an Honor Roll student), to die in a hunting accident one day. Morons.

Jamison, shrug it off. They are losers in the game of Life and they know it. That’s why they are so vile in their speech.

Congrats, my boy!

Bull, out!

Geezus, that is one nasty beast!
Can’t really see the tusks on this one, but even smaller boars can cut you up or even kill ya…

My brother used to hunt pigs with a group out of Abbeville, SC that used spears and knives to kill the pig. They’d send in the Pit Bulls to grab a hog and then wade in amongst the fight to administer the coup-de-grace with a blade.

I’d love to see their faces if they ran up on one like either of the beasties mentioned in this post! I think they’d quietly get in their trucks, drive home and take up knitting.

Geez… Dan has been gone six years now. And no, to those PETA bastards, he did not die from a hunting accident. It was cancer.

Someone is now saying that this pig was actually a farm-reared hog that escaped to the forest, as that would in some way diminish the achievement. The fact is that ALL hogs found in the forest of North America, (with the one exception of the Peccary, aka: Javelina), in the far Southwest of North America), are really just hog that have so escaped or are descendants of those that escaped in times past.
