It’s been a while since I posted, so this is going to be one of those “What The Bull has been doing” post. Don’t ya hate them? I know I do…

Anyhow, since my last major posting I’ve been quite busy dealing with the reptilians living under my roof, riding shotgun on the wee Bull-Spawn, and trying to teach these bloody Great Danes who they can an can not eat. (I think they’ve got it figured out now. ) Back to the Bull-Spawn, the 2nd eldest managed to drag her ass down to Mobile, AL to visit The Bull for the first time in nearly three years. Dang, how time flies! Happy to report that while I’d still like to have this particular child closer for observation she seems to be doing fairly well. I figure there is plenty going on in her little world that I’m not aware of, but I will! Just because I’m a “Dad” and a sneaky old fart. The eldest is off to South Carolina to bring back Lil’ Bull to Mobile for the Summer. I’m hoping my eldest man-child will decide to move in here at the Pasture on a permanent basis. Fact is that he could use a father figure close as puberty is hitting. The Gods know his mother, (my Ex), could use the time to get her screwed-up Life in order!

The Rescue, Chaos & Critters, continues to grow and donations to it remain at damned near zero. We did get one bit of good news. A large company that makes multi-unit reptile enclosures is willing to send us one of there largest models if we can come up with the shipping. I feel another yard sale coming on…

The Great Danes are now three years old and should have reached their full size. Indeed the female has, but Bruiser continues to grow and is now topping 140lbs. Moreover, he is becoming even more obsessed with the kids, particularly the twins. He simply can not deal with the children being out of his sight. When they go somewhere to visit he roams from room to room seeking them and come to me heart-broken when he doesn’t find them. Should you ever visit the Pasture heed this bit of advice: Never allow yourself to come between Bruiser and the children! He will see that as an implied threat and act accordingly, (read: fatally.)
You know, with all of the scum in the world, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect dog for the kids!

Speaking of scum, I’ve been busily helping dig up these child-raping monsters with some real success. The Bull is happy to report that two more are now outed to their friends, family, and their respective Communities-at-large. Should these two scumbags choose to do the World a favor and commit suicide I will report such as soon as word reaches me - complete with photos if at all possible! Meanwhile the Hunt continues. I thought my desire for the hunt had long since cooled. All I really needed was larger prey. Parents, know that The Bull will not rest until the last child molesting monster is slain or my Spirit crosses The Veil.

I just completed a new ‘general purpose’ belt knife built on a Green River blade. I’ve been carrying a Marble’s ‘Ideal’ for quite a spell with no real complaints about its craftsmanship or components. This Green River blade is slightly longer, about half as thick, and no where near as hard. This should make it useful for many more varied task. (Don’t take this as a black spot on Marble’s! They make a fine knife. Heck, mine has never become dull. Not once.) This is the third blade from Russell’s Green River that I’ve slapped scales on. The first was a Dadley-style with superior homegrown walnut burl scales that got traded off at a Rendezvous when I was a greenhorn. The second was the twin of this latest one scaled with ivory micarta for my best mate, Nancy Gail. That one is still in use today. Now I’ve got to dig around for some leather to sheath the thing and figure out a decent design. (I never make two of anything the same.)

Ah! Nancy Gail!! There was a time that I’d have married her in an instant. I even asked her once, but my beloved friend had sense enough to know better than to get entangled like that with me. She’s always been pretty keen when it comes to The Bull. Fortunately for me she has remained my dearest friend these many years no matter how the rest of the World thought of me at the time. Through thick or thin, I always have Nancy Gail, and a couple of other strong friends, that back my play. What really makes a friend ’special’ is if that friend will point out your wrong thinking and love you anyway. She has done that on numerous occasions.

Just how ’special’ or strong is my friend? Well, this long-haired, five-foot-nothin’ Irish lass single-handedly forced Her Majesty’s Highland Regiment, the legendary ‘Black Watch’, to retreat and relocate their encampment. No mean feat! She did this with several hundred witnesses and a legend was born. Now-a-days we don’t see each other near enough but a phone call earlier today brought smiles all around here in the Pasture. She will be coming to visit later this month and both The Bull and Lady Beth are exceedingly glad. My friend will stay for a couple of days on her way to visit her one-time home of New Orleans, and for her the door is always open!
BTW: Did I mention that my friend, Nancy Gail, is a Liberal? :?: Amazed? Yes, at times I am too. She is indeed as much a Liberal as I am a Conservative, yet she is no ‘Loony’. Here is a woman that drinks no person’s - nor Party’s - Kool-Aid, and I’m damned proud to call her my friend!

I remain,
Bull*  End of Article
