Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964. Nikita succeeded the murderous Joseph Stalin himself and was succeeded by Leonid Brezhnev. Do you remember him now? He was certainly no angel and defeating the USSR under his rule nearly brought us all to a fiery end in a Worldwide nuclear holocaust.

Seems to The Bull that though the old ‘Evil Empire’ is long gone and moldering in its grave, the spirit of that vile system of government has endured. Today we see that spirit beginning to ‘possess’ the leaders in its old homeland of Russia, seeking to once again to divide and conquer the nations of the World.
We also see it, just as Nikita said, in our very own press! Does the press forget that it was they that reported these quotes to us in the bad old days of the early 1960’s? Does the press forget that its job is to report the news, not to make news?
Apparently.
It is also apparent that the press has become part and parcel of the Communist cause. The press has aligned itself with those so often called ‘Liberal Left Loonies’ like the Hollywood elite, and politicians like Gore, Clinton, Edwards, and Pelosi. These are not just Liberals nor Loonies. They are much further to the Left then that. They are nothing less than Communist in Liberal clothing!
(If you are wondering why Reid was not mentioned by name it is simply because that he is just an doddering old buffoon long past his ‘use by’ date and is only doing what he is told. Reid is someone who should go out with the next trash run and is not worth further mention.)
Those of us Americans still not addicted to the Communist ‘Kool-Aid’ see that our beloved Country is indeed being fed Socialism in small doses, building quietly towards Nikita’s goal of a Communist ‘Amerika’. Government schools that ignore classic education in favor of Socialist propaganda, large segments of the population totally dependent on government handouts to survive, higher tax rates with less to show for the money, a push for socialized health care, the limiting of first amendment rights to free speech, and the constant attempts to disarm the population and thereby eliminate the only real threat to complete government control of our lives. Let us not forget the government’s desire to allow America to be flooded with uneducated, non-English speaking, illegal immigrants that will be looking to Washington – and our tax dollars – for assistance while flaunting the laws we honest Citizens follow every day of our lives! These FACTS show that Nikita is now getting everything he and his Communist brethren desired.
All this being solid and undeniable Truth, do not let yourselves be in the least comforted by the thought that the ‘Grand Old Party’, the Republicans, are capable of saving Lady Liberty from drowning in the cess pool of corruption that has grown about her feet over the past couple of decades. This latest batch of Republicans have betrayed us as well. No, I’m not speaking of George Bush, (though he is pissing me off on several levels), but of the Republicans in the House and Senate who have become as spineless as earthworms as they dig into the muck of corruption. They twist this way and that, along with their Democrat counterparts, to find any means to stay in office and grow their personal power. For nearly all of the politicians have forgotten their oaths to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. All the while they are helping to drive this Great Nation towards a Socialist fall.
Yes, America is being betrayed from within. We stand now on the brink of a great fall into Socialism, and then to Communism. The edge is crumbling…
The Bull is not necessarily known for being much of an optimist. However, even I see a ray of Hope. There is, in this vast Nation of ours, a smoldering ember of anger and disgust at what we have allowed our press and our government to become. From Hawaii to Maine and from Alaska to Texas the heat is growing. It is beginning to burn its way across the land at a grass roots level and smoke is rising to the levels above. The Military is beginning to take notice as well. Have you read the letters coming home from our troops in the field? Have you read the blogs of the soldiers, sailors, and Marines? Have you heard their families speak? The men and women even now fighting for our way of life, along with their families, are turning their eyes towards Washington, D.C. and the look in those eyes is pure disgust. If you have not yet noticed, then I recommend you read and listen more!
Yes, the tide is out. Remember though, tides turn. America and her Freedom-loving citizens are becoming more fed-up with the corruption in ‘CON’gress, the one-sided reporting of the press, the wearing away of our essential Liberties, and the constant attacks on our varied Faiths and moral foundations by self-indulging Hollywood elite who believe they are above the Laws that govern the rest of us. Then we have the pacifist (read: defeatist) that demand peace at any cost. To them I offer words of wisdom from a man that knew tyrannical government most of his life, and in the later years of that life used the power of his voice and pen to help mold this Nation of Freedom – Benjamin Franklin: “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.” To those who can find only complaint and misery in America, “The Constitution only guarantees the American people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.” and The Bull adds that if misery is all you desire that there are many nations on this planet with plenty to share with you. Pick one and go.
Yes, we need a leader. A strong and right-minded President that will keep his oath and serve his Nations needs. A strong President is not the whole answer. We also need Representatives that listen to their constituents and Senators that serve the best interest of their home States. We require a Court that does not attempt to legislate from the bench. Most of all America requires Citizens that are mindful of what is going on in their State capitals and in Washington, D.C.! It is ‘We the People’ that can make the most difference and bring our great Nation back on to the Path of Freedom. If you are not part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem.
The wind is beginning to rise, Americans! The only question is whether if it is strong enough to move us away from the abyss.

The Bull supports Fred Thompson for President in 2008. I don’t know if that fact is in the positive or negative column in his Committee’s collective mind, but there you have it. If Fred doesn’t run I’m at a loss to pick someone worthwhile. At one time I considered McCain due to his vast experience, but now I’m turned off by him for the same reason along with his lack of backbone. I think McCain lost most of his spine sometime after the ‘Hanoi Hilton’, around the time he got used to his power position in Washington, D.C.
We really need nationwide term limits.

what I read is true. That being that he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (as are most
front line candidates and present high office holders) which has the currently-proceeding goal of
destroying the sovereignty of the USA by creating the border-less monster known as the North
American Union by some or the North American Community by others. Anyone who doesn’t believe
that just needs to do some investigating.

and our constitution even though mainstream media and many others, including you apparently,
continue to relegate them to a rear pew…..or the peanut gallery as it were.”

I hate to say it, but you – like many others – are allowing yourself to be swayed by one topic. Much like those that will refuse to vote for Romney because he is Mormon or those that won’t vote for Rudy because he isn’t a homophobe.
All I can say is to look at the whole person, look at both the good and the bad in his record, listen to his message, and take a hard look at the ‘elect-ability’ of that person. Both fields are crowded by people that couldn’t win the election unless they were the only candidate standing – and then only by a small margin!
Fred is strong on every front I want a President to be strong on, and he is electable. (Though I’m with Grau on wanting the formal announcement sooner rather than later.)
