Jesse’s ‘alleged’ killer, Bobby Cutts, Jr., is to be arraigned today on two counts of capital murder. The State of Ohio will be seeking the death penalty. The news channels are also all abuzz over the word that one of Cutts’ high school friends, one Myisha Ferrell, will also be arraigned on charges in this case, though as of the time of this writing those charges do not include anything but making false statements. Time will tell if she becomes more of a serious player in the events to come.
Folks, The Bull hates to tell you I told you so, but I told you so! 
What we have here is yet another case of Law Enforcement failing to properly police itself.
This murderous P.O.S., Cutts, has been a problem in the community – and especially to women – for years. Even before he put on the uniform he was a problem and he only got worse once he had the shield to hide behind. This guy even once gave his service weapon to his cousin! Yet Cutts remained on the force. Far too often those who become police officers are the losers in society, or the bullies. That just makes things that much harder for those truly brave men and women in blue to make our streets safe for the law abiding citizens. As stories like this one arise the trust in Law Enforcement declines. Perhaps with good cause.
Don’t get me wrong! America owes much to that ‘Thin Blue Line‘. When a REAL American Hero in Blue falls we are all reduced. What we fail to remember is that the job of the police is not to prevent crime. They are not here to ’serve and protect’ no matter how many times that it is printed on the patrol cars. The real mandate of the police is to investigate crime and bring in the criminals to face Justice. Friends, that is after the crime has occurred! The hard Truth is that it is up to us – the average citizens – to prevent crime.
Sadly, Americans have become increasingly dependent on government to do everything for them. We expect the government to educate us, to house us, to feed us, and to protect us. America is basically a welfare State.
But who protects us from the ‘protectors’? 
The Bull is willing to go out on a limb here and say flat out that had this case not been picked up by the national press, (and believe me, I hate to give the traditional press credit for anything), Cutts would have never been charged. The police in Canton had too much to lose and, of course, will do anything to protect their own.
I’ll be interested to see what defense this murder ’suspect’ will offer. Methinks he will say that he is being framed because of Civil Rights case versus the Canton police in which he is a witness. Horseshyte! (The Bull says to watch for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to soon rear their ugly mugs into the media light.)
We’ll all need to wait and see how this case turns out, but one thing is for sure – this should be a wake-up call to police departments across America to take a hard look at who they are arming and sending out into our streets.
