Dear Civilians,
“We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can’t join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:
- The next time you see an adult talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem—kick their ass.
- When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest—kick their ass.
- Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.
- (GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be “Special Forces,” and collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.
- Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, “Do you fly a jet?” Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).
- If you witness someone calling the US Coast Guard ‘non-military’, inform them of their mistake—and kick their ass.
- Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her—of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass-kicking.
- Don’t try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans, and we all bleed the same, regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command is to include our Commander-In-Chief (CinC). The President (for those who didn’t know) is our CinC regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives meet All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. If you keep asking us the same stupid questions repeatedly, you will get your ass kicked! (That said, we (& our families) do VOTE and have a fair memory of who supported us and who didn’t!)
- ‘Your mama wears combat boots’ never made sense to me—stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore, could kick your ass!
- Bin Laden and the Taliban are not Communists, so stop saying ‘Let’s go kill those Commies!’ And stop asking us where he is! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me—if you see anyone calling those damn psychic phone numbers, let me know, so I can go kick their ass!
- ‘Flyboy’ (Air Force), ‘Jarhead’ (Marines), ‘Grunt’ (Army), ‘Squid’ (Navy), ‘Bubblehead’ (Navy Submariner), ‘Puddle Jumpers’ (Coast Guard), etc., are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. That could get your ass kicked.
- Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get it’s ass kicked.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.
The protester burns that flag.
Remember that.
Bull, out. ![]()

Just found it recently, and you sound like a man who thinks like I do. Keep up the good work.

Let me clarify a couple of points, and at the same time educate you, Mr. Paul. You are certainly in need of it!
1) Sorry, no suicide. I understand how upsetting it is to Liberals that all of the conservatives and Constitutionalist in this country failed to roll over and die at the sight of a black President. Rather than stop and ask yourselves why, though, you guys attempt to throw insults and start rumors. Pitiful. Here’s something to chew on: The Bull thinks that it is beyond the right time for a black President. However, definitely NOT B.H. Obama! It is the man’s VALUES I don’t want, not his skin color. Only the shallowness of Liberal thought could fail to notice this.
2) I am not a native Alabamian. I am from South Carolina, though I can already tell there is no difference in the two to you. Everything below the Mason-Dixon is pure evil in your eyes. You speak of Fort Rucker, but fail to mention the year. I’d love to know the true answer. The South is not the place it once was. If it were, and considering the ease, (at least for now), in which Americans are allowed to move between states, then why, Sir, did not every black American not evacuate to the supposed “free North”? Or to the oh-so-tolerant left coast? If the old ways were still in sway, then why are so many of our mayors in the South of the so-called black race? [ I am of the opinion that there is only one "race" - the Human race.] Why do we have so many black owned (& very profitable) businesses? No, it is clear that your experiences in Alabama are either very old indeed, or simply a figment of your imagination.
3) You also mention “rebel flags” and that is fortuitous. My friend and I were just talking about those the other day. When we went out looking to see you was still flying them we could only find three. Two were in shops operated by Northerners and one was still on its post by I-10 where it has been for many, many years from the looks of its faded & tattered remains. Simply put, no one but the tired, broken, and hidden remains of the despicable Ku Klux Klan, (and some punk kids), really give a crap.(Oh, and on a historical note, it isn’t the “Rebel flag”. It is called the “Stars & Bars” and was used as a battle standard, not a national flag of the Confederate States of America.) As for you tearing down property and no one challenging you there are three possibilities. One is that you really did this, but were in some way clearly military personnel. Folks here would not ever raise a hand against our people in uniform. Another answer is that you really did this but were dealing with the loud-mouthed, ignorant remains of the KKK or some similar agency of hate. They are all cowards. The third possibility is that you did no such thing and are just running off at the mouth yourself. I’d love to know the truth of it.
4) I’ve never owned or flown a Confederate flag. (It is true that my ancestors fought on the side of the Confederacy, however *I* did not.) I do, however, fly my Blue Star banner. As soon as my flag pole is up in the front yard I will raise Old Glory high along with the Alabama state flag and a smaller version of the Gadsden flag. I suspect that all work here will be completed within the next three weeks. If you wish, Mr. Robert Paul, you may then come down to The Pasture and attempt to tear down my flags & banners.
It is, (for the moment), still a Free Nation.
Finally, it is simply amazing to me that there are certain portions of our populace that feel the need to take offense at absolutely everything that comes down the pike, or that simply must turn every conversation to their most recent ’cause’. For example, this post. The post itself had absolutely nothing to do with race or the South. Still, Mr. Paul simply had to turn it into something else. It appears that the Liberals are using that old saying “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, the baffle them with horseshit” as their mantra these days.
Bull, out.
