Meet “Franklin the Turtle”, American Hero

Franklin the Turtle

There is someone I’ve been wanting to introduce you folks to for quite some time. Problem was that I wasn’t sure exactly when the ‘right’ time would be. Now that he has his very own Facebook page, this must be it! (Click on the photo thumbnails for a larger view.)

I speak of none other than Franklin the Turtle. Companion to one of our very own American Heroes fighting for Liberty and Freedom.

Here is a little about Franklin in his own words…

“I have stayed with my guardian (Tony) for the last four years, my mommy (Hanah), sent me with her daddy to keep him company and safe on his first deployment…and I have been right by his side since. Here we go again….get ready for my travels and adventures…..!!!”

His longtime companion, Master-at-Arms First Class Anthony LaFrenier, USN, has this to say about Franklin…

“Franklin came to see me for the first time on a Saturday morning, September 10th, 2005. Franklin was sent to me by my youngest daughter, Hanah, to keep me company while I was away in Kuwait with the U.S. Navy.”

While serving in the Middle East mascot Franklin and his side-kick had many adventures and met many great American ‘Heroes in Uniform’ and a few who were not, like Charlie Daniels (Yep, The Bull is a big fan, too!), the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, and Montgomery-Gentry.

Later, at the end of that first deployment, the following was written in MA1 LaFrenier’s journal…

“A part of our awards ceremony would be dedicated to Franklin. Franklin received appointment from the CO as UM3 (Unit Mascot 3rd Class). Franklin’s appointment as a US Navy Petty Officer came with great responsibility, but no pay. We could not wait to be back with our families. Franklin would surely miss all the wonderful friends that he made on this deployment. But Franklin did his job wonderfully. Franklin did just as Hanah sent him to do, he kept me company.”

Along with that appointment, Franklin received the awards of the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal -and- the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Bronze Deployment Device.

Now UM3 Franklin and MA1 Lafrenier are being sent off once again into the Sandbox to defend Liberty & Freedom from those who seek to drag Mankind back into the Dark Ages. I am asking ALL of my Dear Readers to jump on over to your Facebook accounts and send Franklin the Turtle a note of encouragement and thanks as he embarks on yet another deployment with his companion. You see, ‘We the People‘ have a part to play in our own defense. That part is to, like Franklin, keep up the morale of those brave men and women that are daily placing their lives on the line for all of us here at home.

We need more like Franklin, and more like MA1 Tony LaFrenier!

Support for the ‘Deficit Democrats’ is Erroding

I try to keep up with the political goings-on in my home state of South Carolina. (Don’t get me started about that sickening display of Mark Sanford’s, but I do have a soft spot for another prominent fellow in ol’ SC who speaks his mind…) Here’s the latest from The Palmetto Scoop…

CHEROKEE COUNTY VOTERS ELECT REPUBLICAN IN HEAVILY DEMOCRATIC DISTRICT

It was the only election in America Tuesday night. And it gave Republicans one final win this year in the growing referendum against Barack Obama’s presidency.

Voters in Cherokee County elected a Republican to a county council seat never before held by the GOP.

Republican Tracy McDaniel crushed Democrat Thomas Moss in county council district seven with a stunning 61.2 percent of the vote.

“I’ll always do my best to study the issues, obtain the facts and make decisions on what is best for our citizens,” McDaniel told the Spartanburg Herald Journal prior to the election. “I know if we work together, we can make a difference for Cherokee County.”

Democrat James Batchler, who died in August, had held the seat for 40 years.

On the surface, McDaniel’s election may not seem significant. But a Republican win in a heavily Democratic district in South Carolina is symptomatic of eroding support for Obama and Democrats.

In November, voters in Virginia and New Jersey passed a similar anti-Obama referendum by electing Republican governors in states carried by the president during last year’s election.

I may be wrong. (It’s rare, but has happened before.) Methinks that the ‘Dems’ are going to have their hands full next year unless some freakin’ miracle occurs. This story doesn’t seem like much to most of you, I know, but you would have to understand the area. Republicans in Cherokee County have always been considered as being from the wrong side of the tracks.

Add one to the RIGHT side!

BMCM Harold B. Estes, USN (Ret.) Speaks to Obama

Here is an email letter circulating the Internet. The validity has been confirmed by via Snopes.com.

(This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the President.)

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don’t believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos’n Mate. Now I live in a “rest home” located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish. I can’t figure out what country you are the President of. You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

” We’re no longer a Christian nation”

” America is arrogant” – (Your wife even announced to the world,”America is mean-spirited. ” Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I’d say shame on the both of you, but I don’t think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said, “America hasn’t lived up to her ideals.”

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal Liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win Independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn’t mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for Freedom.

I don’t think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don’t, I’ll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead. Not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don’t want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don’t mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don’t want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you’re thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You’re not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That’s not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don’t want to think my President is the enemy in this final battle.

Tiny Babies and Giant Moon Pies for Mobile

MOBILE, Ala.) - Mobile may be able to boast the world’s tiniest baby! In August, a set of triplets was born at University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital. The tiniest in the set broke the record for the world’s smallest surviving baby at nine point one ounces (9.1 oz.!).

Doctors are calling Oliviyanna, Oriyanna, and Tayvanna three tiny miracles. Collectively at birth they weighed less than four pounds!

“I just started praying and asking God to help them through the way,” said the triplets mother, sixteen- year-old Jamesha Harbin.

The tiniest of the three, little Oliviyanna, is not just proving miracles exist, she’s breaking a record for what might be the world’s smallest surviving baby!

When Oliviyanna was born, she weighed less than a soda can. Today, she weighs three point two pounds.

Sixteen, unmarried, and the mother of not one but three special needs babies. (The needs of special babies is something that we know about here in The Pasture. Our youngest sons, fraternal twins, were tiny, and premature. The expenses and the stress was horrendous but were handled by family, faith, and hard work on the part of both the care-givers and the bread-winners. Not State-funded, (read as: “tax-payer funded”), welfare.) Upon hearing me rant about this story my 15 year old son informed me that there are at least a half a dozen girls in his 8th grade class expecting babies before the term is over. “Who knows“, he said, “this record may not stand very long.”

One more record that the City of Mobile, and the State of Alabama does not need.

Seriously now, I pray for the health and well-being of these three innocents – and for the grandparent who will have to raise them and us tax-paying Citizens who will be paying for it all.

At some point this Country HAS to wake up and do something about the run-away spending we are doing on welfare and the other ills that it brings. Friends, charity starts at home. So does responsibility. All of the assorted kinds of responsibility. You can’t tell it by looking around America today, though. Today, though, we allow our elected morons in Washington to saddle us with socialized heath care that will not just spend us into oblivion but will just encourage more of this welfare state behavior. Not just that, but they are hitching us to this wagon that will tax us today with only a promise of some sort of coverage in a few years. Nothing for anyone now. disgusting no matter how you look at it – or them!

What happened to self-reliance? Self-respect? Personal responsibility? Parental responsibility?

I can tell you now, all of the above are rare birds indeed here in Mobile, AL! Our Liberal mayor and City Council are spending money like there is no end to it. Not on police to help with the ever increasing crime problems and not on teachers in our bottom-of-the-pile school system. No, good ol’ Sam Jones & Friends are spending it on outdoor movie projectors for inner city dwellers to enjoy here in one of the rainiest cities in America – and a giant Moon Pie. (If you’ve never been to the deep South you may not even know what a damned Moon Pie is. They are popular little chocolate-covered cakes with a marshmallow filling. They go good with RC cola and are thrown from floats to the crowd during the endless Mardi Gras parades.)

No kidding, folks! Aa $25,000+, 600 pound, electronic Moon Pie to be raised some 200 feet over the Mobile River and light up Mobile’s skyline at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. That is a Liberal’s idea of fiscal responsibility for you.

Guess The Bull shouldn’t really be surprised at all the 16 year old mothers, should I?

Either this Country wakes up and demands the removal of these tax & spend idiots we have in elected offices Nationwide or we face the end of Freedom, Liberty, and the downward spiral of Humanity back into the horrors of the Dark Ages.

In 1783 Benjamin Franklin said “Where Liberty dwells, there is my Country“. Friend, I’m here to tell you that the United States of America is the last home of anything resembling true Liberty on this rock in space we call home. Seeing as how we have no spare planets to remove our selves to, we either repair our Nation – save our Freedom -or the party is over. Look around. Is this the sort of system you want your children and grandchildren growing up in? For me the answer is a resounding “NO!“.

One last question… How’s all of that “Hope & Change” working for you?

So, The Bull goes out to the mailbox today and finds a letter from the US Treasury. “No need to panic“, say I. “Time for me to update my payment plan with the Veterans Affairs bunch over in Biloxi.” I open the letter only to find that the VA has submitted me to have my disability check reduced by over $100 – just a couple of days before Christmas!

“WHAT?!?!”

A little back story here… I am a veteran and get my health care through the Department of Veterans Affairs. I am on several medications. I take them and they keep me breathing and walking. I take them, and since I’m on a lower tier in the VA’s system, I pay for them. No problem. There is a bunch of fine ladies over in the Biloxi office that keeps up with it all and they bill me a set amount monthly. Now, if I were the sort that would lie on his annual paperwork I could most likely get my medications covered, but I figure that I can afford to pay the fair amount the VA set for me and there are many of our brave young souls coming home with much more serious needs than me.

What pisses me off – and should piss off ANY right-thinking Veteran & American is that the VA sneaking in a grab on my already limited budget like this without ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER! No letter, no call. Just a letter from Treasury saying they are taking had taken my money. Money that feeds my kids. Money that keeps a roof over our heads. Money that I paid into the coffers in FICA taxes during those golden years of productive working life.

This is the system that the Department of Veteran’s Affairs calls VISTA.

The ladies in the Biloxi, MS billing office could do nothing to fix the problem. And as one would expect, the bureaucrats at Treasury were no help at all – even once I got a live, English-speaking one on the phone. Seeking some action, I called the Director of Biloxi VA’s office.

They were extremely helpful – until they heard that I wasn’t a drug company rep, or a Washington D.C. politician, that is! As soon as the Director (one Thomas Wisnieski (228-523-5766)) found out that it was a veteran was on the line he immediately tried to put me off. He suddenly didn’t have time for me. When I wouldn’t budge he had his secretary verbally attack me and hang up on me – twice!

Methinks it is time that these guys find out that The Bull’s horns will hook! It is also time that this bunch at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs gets the point tht they can’t treat American Veterans like trash!

I will not be able to retrieve these lost funds. I know that. What I can do is make sure that no other person has to go through this horseshyte ever again and that a fair system of notification is put in place for everyone.

The Bull would like to encourage everyone who reads this to call Mr. Thomas Wisnieski over at the Biloxi VA and insist that their system be updated. Tell them that you, the tax payer will not tolerate veterans being treated like trash by either the directors or their staff. The number for Mr. Thomas Wisnieski’s office is (228)523-5766.

I’ll appreciate it, and so will every veteran who is dealing with this system. Right now I have to go try to lower my blood pressure before I blow a gasket somewhere vital.

Sadly, I have to report that we have movement of one more pedophile scumbag into our area here in Tillman’s Corner.

This little pile of dog shyte, (that the local Sheriff’s office hasn’t bothered to notify you about in defiance of State law), was convicted of Sodomy in the 1st Degree. His victim was a twelve year old little girl.

My hat is off to the good folks over at Family Watchdog for their timely notification. I urge all of you who have children – or those of you that are simply sick of sharing your clean air with this kind of filth – to go and register with Family Watchdog so that you, too, will receive immediate updates when one of these bastards moves into, or out of, your neighborhood.

As always I give you these tips to follow in order to protect your loved ones from sexual predators and other scumbags roaming our once-safe streets:

Start a Neighborhood Watch! This is a huge help. Neighbors helping neighbors. Get the locals involved. Only people you can trust to stay calm, though. Just remember, Do Nothing Stupid!!! I know how frustrating this can be, but you must keep a cool head and play by the rules. Just be sure to use the rules to your full advantage!

Usually these creeps fade off into the background when they find that pickings are going to get slim because people are watching. It’s those eyes on them constantly that makes them uncomfortable enough to leave. It takes time.

Friends, check those registries! Check them regularly and often. The Alabama Registry is found at this link. Then call your local Sheriff and make sure the info on the site is up-to-date.Here in Mobile County, Alabama our LEOs have failed us miserably in this respect over the years in violation of State Law. The Bull has been informed, though, that a volunteer group is being formed in the MCSO to deal with address & work confirmations as well as neighborhood notifications. I’ll be volunteering my time immediately!

Another good idea is to scout the addresses and see if the people living at the address are indeed the people listed on the registry. If they are, and if they are in your neighborhood, don’t go and get yourself arrested for something stupid like attacking them. Do NOTHING illegal!!! I can not stress that enough. Do not become a criminal over a criminal! It isn’t worth the loss you will suffer. Print out the registry page with their photo on it, make many copies, and post them everywhere possible in the neighborhood. Every utility pole should be covered. Place signs along the road. Go door-to-door with handouts. Make sure everyone knows who they are and what they did.

Buy a gun and learn how to properly and safely use and store it. (A shotgun chambered to 20, 16 or 12 gauge will do. I prefer the Mossberg 500A in 12 gauge & the legal minimum barrel length. In handguns you can’t go wrong with any caliber that starts with “.4?. The Bull prefers the ol’ reliable .45 Colt.) Ask your trainer about quality ammunition for protection. Here in Alabama, and an increasing number of states, we law abiding citizens have the right to protect ourselves, our children and our property by what ever means or force required. Use that law to your advantage! Tolerate no pedophile or other sex offender to survive entering your ‘castle’ with the intent to do harm!

Get a dog, too. Preferably a big dog that tends to “nanny” children. I recommend Great Danes (we have two), but Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, and Bouvier des Flandres will do quite nicely. Our Great Danes have proven themselves as absolutely remarkable child protection dogs. The Bull figures that all he’ll find of some pedophile meeting my dogs will be a few tatters of bloody clothing and rather large and greasy piles of dog crap in the back yard. Suits me right down to the ground! When not watching the kids the Danes simply sleep. NOTE: My big male Great Dane, Bruiser, was put to the test, and passed with flying colors, since my last ‘Scum Update’. Not against a pedophile, but a would-be thief eager to steal my tools and bikes. Bruiser can cross the yard to the back fence in under two seconds. Even with only a five step distance to cover to said fence this illegal alien type thief only made the top of the chain-link fence when his right leg suddenly became 150 pounds heavier and six fangs punctured his boot. (Yes, Danes have a rather unique tooth structure.) Poor bastard had a rough ride with his crotch being dragged some ten feet down the ragged top of the chain link. (Ouch! Must have been like riding a chainsaw!) The perp eventually tore himself loose and fell on the other side of the fence. Police followed a bit of a blood trail but lost it in the back of the neighborhood. No charges were filed against my dog as per the Castle Doctrine.

You put your kids in car seats and buckle them in, don’t you? If you would take the time to do that to protect your children from car accidents, would you not take the time to protect them from the predators walking our streets? The simple fact that there are so many of these creatures living among us proves that our Government – at every level – can not, or will not, protect us and our children. Police are proven to be useless until after the damage is done.

It is up to you – the parent. Are you ready?

Opinion: Safe Schools Czar is a Likely Pedophile

The ‘Savior’ of Liberal Americans, Barack H. Obama, has - in the opinion of The Bull – placed a probable pedophile in the position of ‘Safe Schools Czar’. One Kevin Jennings.

This foul bit of trash with the disgusting, and totally un-Constitutional, title of “Czar“. Jennings, who has a long history of drug abuse and promotion of homosexuality in schools, formerly headed a pro-homosexuality group called the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). This group has published books targeted at students between the ages of 7 to 15 that are overwhelmingly pornographic in their detailing the sex acts between kids and much older men.

But wait! There is more!

(At this point I must ask parent to make sure that the kids are not reading over your shoulder. The Bull is by no means a prude, but there are things that clearly belong only in the adult world. While the line keeps creeping backwards, we parents must at least try to hold the line.)

At a GLSEN conference in 2000, (fully supported by the Massachusetts Department of Education, the Safe Schools Program, and the Governor’s Commission on Gay & Lesbian Youth), an activist asked 14 year old students “Spit or Swallow… is it rude?” Now I don’t know about you guys, but the day an activist is allowed to ask my kids such a question, someone is going to get his ass kicked! It may be me, but that will be after the fight! Think I’m making this up? Here is the entire exchange for you…

Male Teacher: … Spit versus swallowing – I don’t know
about the calorie count of cum. All right. Is it rude? Let’s ask this
question: Is it rude not to swallow?

Students: No! Oh, no! [Many "no's" from the children.]

Male Teacher: No. So it’s in good bedroom etiquette … [unclear] to spit out?

In another exchange the pedophiles of GLSEN spoke to children on the sex act of ‘fisting’.

This is a group that paid Obama’s ‘Safe Schools Czar’, Kevin Jennings, $273,573.96 in fiscal year 2007 as their executive director. How safe do you think your kids are now under the care of a man I consider just another scumbag pedophile?

An Alabama Senator is a Traitor

Yep. I’ve praised him, right here on this blog and at the polls. When I had serious issues with the Veterans Administration, it was this Senator that had it all straightened out by the end of business that same day.

Despite all of that, The Bull now declares that all, and I mean ALL, support for Senator Richard Shelby is hereby ended. Why? Because neither I, nor any of my Herd, will support a TRAITOR to the American cause.

NO Shelby for Alabama!

At a time when my beloved Nation is on the verge of total bankruptcy our senator voted for the latest spending bill which includes a 10% across the board increase (above inflation) – and - over five thousand (5000) earmarks in pork barrel spending. Yep, you read that right. F-I-V-E T-H-O-U-S-A-N-D earmarks! This senator is completely addicted to pork, and for that Sen. Shelby needs to be recalled by Alabamians.

Sadly, Senator ‘Porky Pig’ Shelby has amassed a simply enormous war-chest, (no doubt much of it from special interest groups that support his spending addiction), which will require an intervention on the part of Deity to remove the man from office. For the moment, that is…

Organization takes time, but the grassroots effort to replace this ‘little piggy’ with a real Conservative American has begun!

Until he is gone, the pork-addicted senator from Alabama will, from this point forward, be printed on this blog in the color of dried blood. The blood of Americans that are being raped by run-away spending and the blood of the Patriots who gave all for our Liberties which these worthless politicians laugh at as they carve up the Constitution piece-meal. This man has become a disgrace. A cheap, disgusting R.I.N.O. who was bought & paid for with a small pork project for his home town! America can no longer afford such spending – regardless of whose hometown wants the money. As a Nation we must become frugal with our budget if there is to be an America for our children and grandchildren. ‘Tax-and-spend’ people like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and Richard Shelby must be booted from office.

Take notice, Shelby! It will take a bit of time and a fair amount of effort, but ‘We the People’ will see you voted out in disgrace!

‘We the People’ on the Subject of Perspective

Fox News reports the following this morning and asked what we felt. (I’ll assume for the moment that the folks at Fox meant ‘We the People’ when they said that.)

Tiger Woods said Friday he is taking an indefinite leave from golf to work on saving his marriage,
 using the word "infidelity" for the first time. "I need to focus my attention on being a better husband,
 father, and person," he said.

Okay, here is how ‘We’ think…

‘We’ think that Tiger Woods gets paid one hell of a lot of money to play a game. It seems to be a fairly popular game and Mr. Woods appears to be the best person at this particular game yet known. This is all well and good, however, a lifetime of playing games has left Mr. Woods with no concept of hard work at anything. Life to him is – or perhaps, has been – just another game. Perhaps he was the recipient of too much money and too much fame, and all of this far too fast. Regardless, all people should know where their anchors are in Life. One is in Family and Mr. Woods either forgot that or was never taught be those who raised him or by his life as a gamer. Now after being caught as, and named, a philanderer, Mr. Woods appears to be making an effort to save the one thing in his life that is REAL. His family. Something he should have been working on all along. Is this a sincere effort, or just a ploy to ’save face’ with his fans and sponsors? Only time will tell. If it turns out to be true then Mr. Woods should be commended for putting his family above golf and money. Some are condemning Mr. Woods for stepping back from golf. This is a thinking error. Family should be placed above any game. Above all remains the fact that golf is nothing but a game.

The Constitution

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (aka: Washington, D.C.), our Constitution – that wonderful document that delineates the bounds of our government and guarantees our Rights as a Free People is being eaten away by a swarm of vile and loathsome vermin in the guise of elected officials. New and ever larger taxes are being planned for all of us. Taxes that will drain our ability to ever again grow our economy and cripple our ability to support ourselves to the point that we are but sources of income for our slave masters – our very own government. Even our Freedom to health care is being stripped from us. Our Rights to even use water on our own property is being stripped from us and given to a governmental bureaucracy called the EPA. All the while the enemies of Freedom & Liberty laugh with unfettered glee in their caves, tents, and palaces. They scheme and plot the deaths of innocents and the rape of women and children in the name of a twisted and filthy form of Islam. They seek to give all the world a simple choice: Become one of us, or die a most gruesome death. They have been held in check for decades because the feared the resolve of the American Spirit when roused. Then began the spiraling fall of American determination brought on by elected officials too busy lining their own pockets to do the work that they were sent to do AND a population caught up in the latest glitter from the Left coast and socializing on the internet. Our enemies watched and waited as American resolve began to tarnish. On 9/11 they thought to break that resolve and were caught in a whirlwind of death as America awoke to the horror of terrorism on our shores. Now though, eight years later, as we continue to root out the mind-twisted freaks of humanity that brought us terror in America, our own elected officials are doing a far better job of destroying the West and most specifically the last bastion of Freedom on Mother Earth.

Dingy Harry Reid and Dems Go Too Far – Again!

Today, December 7th, yet another infamous thing has occurred. This time right here on American soil by one of our elected officials!

‘Dingy Harry’ Reid, (as Limbaugh calls him, and I’m NOT a huge fan of Rush), leader of the Senate DemocRATS said that Republican who oppose the proposed health care reform package are like those who opposed civil rights for blacks in this country. Let me be the first to remind the esteemed idiot from the sin-State of Nevada that it was the Democrats that opposed the end to slavery, opposed civil rights, and that it was a Republican – indeed, the first Republican President, and one your ’savior’, Obama, adores – that ended slavery by the Emancipation Proclamation, one Abraham Lincoln.

You may remember reading about him, Mr. Reid. Assuming, of course, that you can read. From what we know to date you refuse to read any bill placed before you which leaves us all with a reason to wonder.

A Date That STILL Lives In Infamy

As a Nation, we have forgiven the Japanese. Yet, we will NEVER forget!

(The same holds true for the cowardly, dastardly attacks of September 11, 2001. We may one day forgive the Muslim peoples responsible, but NEVER will we forget.)

As I do every day, I prayed at dawn for our armed forces where ever they may be, and for those that have given their lives for us in wars and battles long past. I remembered my father, Roy Clarence Jones, a veteran of the US Navy during WWII & survivor of the USS Wasp (CV-7) which was sunk at Guadalcanal and many battles thereafter aboard the USS Lansdowne (DD-486).
