Independent | The Bull Speaks!

After having a fine, (though artery-clogging), breakfast at my favorite Waffle House here in Mobile County, Alabama with my eldest daughter, I had opportunity to stop in at a local Shell station to gas-up the mini-van. While inside I joined in with a group of locals discussing the election. The group consisted of both blacks and whites as well as Democrats, Republicans, and with my addition an Independent voter. It seems we all were in agreement this morning. That surprised me somewhat considering the demographics of the group, but it was a very nice surprise.

What exactly were we all in agreement on?

First off, that the election process – at every poll represented – went extremely smoothly with everyone in attendance acting like Americans should be expected to act: polite, considerate, and genteel in the fine Southern tradition. Sure, we had widely varying political positions and voted for very different candidates. Above it all, though, we were – and remain – Americans first. Apparently no one witnessed any of the silliness &/or violence reported in other States. I bet a lot of folks will find that strange since we Southerners are considered by most of the Country as knuckle-draggin’, moonshine-drinkin’, skin-head racist if we are white -or- as knuckle-draggin’, uneducated, welfare state junkies if we are black. Just proves true what The Bull has said all along: Southerners are the finest people that America produces – regardless of race.

Secondly, we agreed that the Republican party failed itself and the Conservatives here in America miserably by failing to even try to get out a clear statement of position. I was surprised to hear the Democrats in the group say that they wished that their side had only done moderately better and they wish that more details had been given as to how the plans of the incoming Administration would be implemented. We also agreed that the Republican party as it has existed since the end of the Reagan era is all but dead. The Dems have a chance here to prove themselves and their policies – but only one chance. There is still a heck of a lot of distrust out there for politicians of both stripes.he Republicans will waste no time in rebuilding themselves, and if they are smart they will do so in the image of the Reagan coalition, basing themselves on principles rather than politics. Only time will tell. Agreed it was that far too much money is being spent on these elections. To the point of where it appears that folks are buying their way into office.

We agreed that the time is right in America for the formation of a truly viable third party. Provided, of course, that they start now. The failing on all third parties up to this point is that they go into ’stealth mode’ between election cycles rather than making themselves and their position widely known for the years when others are resting on their laurels. And finally, we agreed that the election is indeed over and that we should all give the partisan crap a rest for a while and see what happens. Four years from now a change can be made should it be warranted. All-in-all, not bad for a bunch of knuckle-draggin’ Southerners…

The Bull has been catching a fair amount of what is floating through the media concerning that ‘good ol’ boy’ shyster, John Edwards, with no little amusement and some tad of concern.

To get my concern out of the way real quick all I need say is this: I frankly have no concern about how ‘Breck-boy’ conducts his marriage or his sex life. Since I don’t want the Government or anyone else involving themselves in my personal life, I try pretty hard to stay out of theirs. The Bull just really doesn’t give a damn if he had an affair.

What does bother me is a liar. (And I understand that Edwards is a professional liar by the mere fact of his profession…) A man who will deny1 over and over again when confronted with the Truth only to later ‘retract’ those statements – and only then after being caught red-handed leaving the woman after an ‘all-nighter’2 – is a bald-faced LIAR, plain and simple. Another thing that burns me up is a male, (It’s hard to use the term ‘man’ here.), who would dare to deny a child of his making. That is down there on the level of those that would hunt children for sexual sport in my book!

The Bull would rather not say what he thinks of a male that would do this to his cancer-stricken mate of 30+ years. After all, some kids read this blog…

(For all the dates in this sorted affair see this post by the liberal Associated Press. It’s good to see that the AP does make some minor effort to investigate someone other than Conservatives. It’s still a shame that it took the National Enquirer, of all agencies, to break the story. The media, in its haste to twist Americans and our Government to suit its own desires, has itself become a pawn of the Liberal/Communist movement. Ben Franklin must be spinning in his grave…)

Yeah, yeah, the Seneca, S.C. born former Senator denies that it is his child. Well, he denied the affair until a few days ago, didn’t he? Sure, the mother of the child, Rielle Hunter, denies that Johnny is the father. Let us recall that she is a documented liar as well – and – has an enormous financial stake in this. Up to this point she has had free housing in multi-million dollar homes3 and a $15,000 per month allowance. Hush money actually began coming to Ms. Hunter in July of 2006 – some five months before Edwards announced his Presidential run – through Edwards’ political action committee (PAC)4. So, should I believe anything coming from Ms. Hunter at this point? I think not. This also explains very neatly why Ms. Hunter refuses a DNA paternity test – it would wreck her finances.

What is the Simple Truth of this? That if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck. The child is John Edwards’ daughter, there has been a cover-up, and much money has been spent to keep this all very quiet – and John Edwards is sub-human for letting this all happen. An innocent child is involved. His child

Of late there has been a fair amount of talk of an Edwards’ second run in the VP position on the ticket. Personally, if The Bull was the abomination Obama I’d not do it. There is still a large chunk of Independent voters out there that feel as I do about proven liars. There are also some Dems out there that still cling to their consciences as well. Yep, Obama has enough hurtles to overcome what with his own basket of lies and complete lack of original thought. The last thing his campaign needs is the millstone of Edwards around its neck while in the sea of this election cycle.

Listen to The Bull, John-Boy. Claim and name your child. Then go home and take care of your wife. True, she may have only stayed loyal to you because of your ill-gotten wealth, but thirty years of marriage does give her some expectation of loyalty on your part if nothing else. One last thing: Learn from this and next time just admit your errors up front. Americans are a very forgiving people. Just ask Bill Clinton.
