Scum Update: 30 Nov 2009

It is that time again. Time for The Bull to post an update of the scum bag sex offenders still breathing our air near “The Pasture”.

Right off I’d like to challenge my fellow bloggers to go to the Family Watchdog web site and find the listing of any or all offenders living in their neighborhoods and list those scum, complete with pictures, on their blogs. The more bloggers that are doing this, the more pressure we can put on these bastards. That makes every child that much safer. It takes only one post every couple of months to get the job done.

It has been too long since my last update on these perverts so The Bull personally verified all of the addresses of the scum in this update. As I mentioned in a past posting, I also have managed to start other Good Citizens to watching the monsters that live in their neighborhoods. Action has begun to escalate as we push my ‘Locate, Educate, and Move ‘Em Out’ Program in this area. As concerned and committed parents we are dedicated to moving these child-hunting scumbags out of our neighborhoods at least, (and out of the gene pool, if possible).

In past comments on this topic I have been reported as being an extreme Right-wing Christian anti-sex nutcase. Please, let me clarify:
Yes, I do stand to the Right of center, steadfastly defending the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign or domestic. I vote as an Independent with the thought of my Country first and never a political party. Secondly, if you have read this blog for very long, or even bothered to ask, then you would know that we are Pagans. Our older children have chosen to follow the Christian path and we wish them health & happiness. Finally, being very happily married and with six children between us – and hopes for a 7th – neither Lady Beth or The Bull can be considered ‘anti-sex’. How silly!

We have to start with Karen Ann Baldwin, DOB: 10/14/1963. Convicted of Sodomy 1st four (4) counts. This bitch committed this horrid act upon a six year old little girl. See? Monsters are sometimes women female. No real woman would do such a thing!
Next is Dustin Wayne James, DOB: 7/21/1985. This ‘thing’ was also convicted of Sodomy 1st – also four (4) counts! Further details were withheld on the ADPS website. As of this posting I’m still looking for the truth of his offenses. Alabama law defines sodomy to include “deviate sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion“. No telling the horrors this bastard inflicted.
Here is Thomas Earl Dickens, DOB: 08/29/1959. This scum was convicted of several counts of Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree. Why the Registry withholds the details of some of these perverts is beyond me…
We have here one Jeremy Gene Woodham, DOB: 02/10/1973. Mr. Woodham here sodomized a 3 yr. old baby girl! Instead of the death he deserved, he served time only for Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree. Sick bastard. Come to think of it, death is too good for him!
Meet Dennis Glen Thomason, DOB: 07/08/1957. He’s another one caught with materials in violation of the Alabama Child Pornography Act. We must demand more severe punishment of this offense and demand punishment of those that make and distribute child porn as well.
Another new on on my list is Eddie Lee Holt, DOB: 10/26/1963. Ol’ Eddie here was convicted of Rape in the 1st Degree, and Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree. His victims? One of the girls was 8 yrs. old and the other was 11 yrs old. I’d better not comment further or I’ll get sick.
Avrahom Yeshuron Kaiser, DOB: 08/08/1963. Wouldn’t you just love to know the history of that name? This puke was convicted of violations of Alabama’s Child Pornography Act.
Then we have Francisco “Frank” Olguin Mejia, DOB: 07/28/1950. “Frank” here was convicted of many counts of Indecency with a Child & Sexual Abuse in the 1st Degree. (& should have been shot…)
Ronald Lee Rifley, DOB: 10/11/1951. Convicted of Sexual Abuse, 1st Degree. Look at the smile on this worm’s face! They say this one is a commercial fisherman by trade. He’d best be glad that this father – or the father of his eight year old victim – isn’t on the boat with him. That would be some 175 pound of free fish bait!
Ralph Herbert Leek, Jr., DOB: 04/29/1930. Convicted of Possession of Obscene Matter / Person(s) Under 17. Looks like someone’s grandpa, doesn’t he? Just goes to show how careful a parent must be these days.
Gary Thomas Harris, DOB: 06/05/1964. Convicted of Sexual Abuse 1st in an attack on a fifteen year old girl. Makes one sick, doesn’t it? When will this Nation stand up and put an end to this sort of act? I know that we will never completely end such behavior, but we most certainly can make sure that these nut-jobs never re-offend.
Edward Berger Bolton, Jr., DOB: 05/23/1961. Mr. Bolton was convicted of Sexual Abuse in the 1st in his attack on a five year old little girl. Makes one wonder where the wiring got screwed in this monster’s head, doesn’t it?
And here’s Edward Louis Botta, DOB: 01/28/1976. Edward here was convicted of Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree. His victim was a 15 yr. old girl. There are those that say that sexual contact with a fifteen year old girl is hardly criminal. To those I have need of but one reply: “It is the law! If you don’t like it, try to get it changed.”
Finally, for this update at least, Kenneth Richard Bates, (alias: Kenneth Richard Flanagan), DOB: 01/04/1976. Convicted of Child Molestation 1st (2 counts). This pervert is a boy-hunter, (and a potential NAMBLA member). His victims include 11 and 14 year old boys.

Here is what you, my Dear Readers, can do to help protect our children…

Start a Neighborhood Watch! This is a huge help. Neighbors helping neighbors. Get the locals involved. Only people you can trust to stay calm, though. Just remember, Do Nothing Stupid!!! I know how frustrating this can be, but you must keep a cool head and play by the rules. Just be sure to use the rules to your full advantage!

Usually these creeps fade off into the background when they find that pickings are going to get slim because people are watching. It’s those eyes on them constantly that makes them uncomfortable enough to leave. It takes time.

Friends, check those registries! Check them regularly and often. The Alabama Registry is found at this link. Then call your local Sheriff and make sure the info on the site is up-to-date.Here in Mobile County, Alabama our LEOs have failed us miserably in this respect over the years in violation of State Law. The Bull has been informed, though, that a volunteer group is being formed in the MCSO to deal with address & work confirmations as well as neighborhood notifications. I’ll be volunteering my time immediately!

Another good idea is to scout the addresses and see if the people living at the address are indeed the people listed on the registry. If they are, and if they are in your neighborhood, don’t go and get yourself arrested for something stupid like attacking them. Do NOTHING illegal!!! I can not stress that enough. Do not become a criminal over a criminal! It isn’t worth the loss you will suffer. Print out the registry page with their photo on it, make many copies, and post them everywhere possible in the neighborhood. Every utility pole should be covered. Place signs along the road. Go door-to-door with handouts. Make sure everyone knows who they are and what they did.

Buy a gun and learn how to properly and safely use and store it. (A shotgun chambered to 20, 16 or 12 gauge will do. I prefer the Mossberg 500A in 12 gauge & the legal minimum barrel length. In handguns you can’t go wrong with any caliber that starts with “.4″. The Bull prefers the ol’ reliable .45 Colt.) Ask your trainer about quality ammunition for protection. Here in Alabama, and an increasing number of states, we law abiding citizens have the right to protect ourselves, our children and our property by what ever means or force required. Use that law to your advantage! Tolerate no pedophile or other sex offender to survive entering your ‘castle’ with the intent to do harm!

Get a dog, too. Preferably a big dog that tends to “nanny” children. I recommend Great Danes (we have two), but Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, and Bouvier des Flandres will do quite nicely. Our Great Danes have proven themselves as absolutely remarkable child protection dogs. The Bull figures that all he’ll find of some pedophile meeting my dogs will be a few tatters of bloody clothing and rather large and greasy piles of dog crap in the back yard. Suits me right down to the ground! When not watching the kids the Danes simply sleep. NOTE: My big male Great Dane, Bruiser, was put to the test, and passed with flying colors, since my last ‘Scum Update’. Not against a pedophile, but a would-be thief eager to steal my tools and bikes. Bruiser can cross the yard to the back fence in under two seconds. Even with only a five step distance to cover to said fence this illegal alien type thief only made the top of the chain-link fence when his right leg suddenly became 150 pounds heavier and six fangs punctured his boot. (Yes, Danes have a rather unique tooth structure.) Poor bastard had a rough ride with his crotch being dragged some ten feet down the ragged top of the chain link. (Ouch! Must have been like riding a chainsaw!) The perp eventually tore himself loose and fell on the other side of the fence. Police followed a bit of a blood trail but lost it in the back of the neighborhood. No charges were filed against my dog as per the Castle Doctrine.

You put your kids in car seats and buckle them in, don’t you? If you would take the time to do that to protect your children from car accidents, would you not take the time to protect them from the predators walking our streets? The simple fact that there are so many of these creatures living among us proves that our Government – at every level – can not, or will not, protect us and our children. Police are proven to be useless until after the damage is done.

It is up to you – the parent. Are you ready?

Another Pervert Teacher

I hate to re-enter my blogging after my self-imposed vacation from the keyboard with such a sad story, but what can you do? The scumbag pedophiles never stop their disgusting pursuits. So, The Bull believes that he must never stop his hunt of these real-life monsters. I must also do my very best to keep you informed of what is stalking your children.

This case is particularly disturbing as I had recently become acquainted with the female child involved through a friend of my very own daughter. This hit far too close to home, my Dear Readers! I’ll admit to a momentary lapse of reason when I was informed of the following detailed events. I found myself wishing for a few moments alone with each of the scum involved. My Gods! One was a female teacher at a local school! The Bull shall relent from his momentary madness and let, as is my rule, the legal system deal with these perverts. I remind my Readers, we are a Nation of laws. (Though I do truly desire that We turn to being a Nation of Justice…)

MOBILE, Ala. – A former teacher from Chickasaw has been arrested on allegations that she traded child pornography with a Florida man and tried to arrange sexual encounters for him with two children, one of them a family member, authorities said today.

The arrest of 29-year-old Melissa B. Gray at her home Wednesday pre-empted plans for her and Milton resident Jonathan Daniel Bervig to have sex this weekend with one of the children: the male family member’s friend, an 8-year-old girl, authorities said.

Gray worked at Little Flower Catholic School in midtown Mobile between August 2005 and March 2008, according to a statement from the Archdiocese of Mobile Office of Catholic Schools.

Gwen Byrd, superintendent of Catholic schools for the Archdiocese of Mobile, declined comment beyond her statement released today, according to her secretary.

It states that Gray was a certified teacher and that state and federal background checks were performed.

Gray will be held at Mobile County Metro Jail until at least Monday, when a federal magistrate judge will decide whether to grant her pre-trial release.

Bervig, who was arrested Tuesday, met Gray in an online chat room and discussed sexual fantasies involving children, according to an affidavit filed by an Alabama Bureau of Investigation agent.

According to the affidavit, Bervig had visited Gray’s house several times, including an initial visit in which the two had sex. About a month ago, the affidavit alleges, Gray tried to set up a sexual liaison with Bervig, a 7-year-old family member and a female friend of the child.

The affidavit states that Gray gave Benadryl to the two children at her house, then told Bervig to come so that they could “play” with the children. Benadryl is an antihistamine that can cause drowsiness.

The affidavit indicates that Bervig told investigators that he drove to Gray’s house, but left because the children were still awake. He told authorities that Gray was angry that the children had not fallen asleep, according to the criminal complaint.

After Bervig’s first attempt to have sex with the girl at Gray’s house, the affidavit states, he and Gray set up another rendezvous. That was to have been this Saturday at her house, and Bervig told investigators that he was to have brought Percocet to drug the girl, according to the criminal complaint.

Percocet is a prescription painkiller that includes acetaminophen and oxycodone, which can cause drowsiness and confusion.

Following Bervig’s Tuesday arrest, investigators began questioning him about his relationship with a woman he knew as Melissa in real life but as missykisses4u@yahoo.com during online chats, the affidavit states.

That same day, an investigator from Florida assumed Bervig’s identity online and contacted Gray. She told him during the instant messaging chat that she wanted Bervig to come to her house, according to the affidavit.

During that conversation, Gray said that she had let a male friend masturbate over the 7-year-old boy the night before in exchange for 60 Percocet pills, the affidavit states. She also sent several images of child pornography over the Internet to Bervig’s account, according to the investigator’s report.

Alabama authorities, following Bervig’s statements, obtained a search warrant for Gray’s home on Tuesday. She initially said she had not had any chats about engaging in sex with children, according to the affidavit, but then admitted that she had after officers confronted her with chat logs.

Both Gray and Bervig face child pornography charges in connection with the case.

A Web search for missykisses4u@yahoo.com showed several accounts set up on various sites dedicated to facilitating liaisons between adults.

On plentyoffish.com, the Web site on which Bervig and Gray first met, according to the affidavit, part of missykisses4u’s profile reads: “First date: Truth or Dare, Always MY turn. Hehehe.”

On another site, adultfriendfinder.com, the bio associated with Gray’s e-mail address says: “I wanna … dig deep into our darkest taboo fantasies and make them a reality. …”

The 7-year-old boy’s father, who lives in Baldwin County, said he awoke early Wednesday morning to a call from authorities saying that his son was in the hospital and unresponsive and that Gray had been arrested.

When he got to the hospital, the father said, he discovered that his son had been drugged.

Considering the circumstances, “He’s doing fantastic,” said the father, whose name is being withheld by the Press-Register to protect the child’s identity. “I feel like I’m blessed” Gray was arrested when she was, he said.

“I feel like Jesus put some protection down on him,” he said. (Remember, The Bull is a confirmed Pagan, but even I agree with that statement. I think the proper word is “Amen!”)

MOBILE, Ala. – A federal judge today sent child pornography distribution allegations against a Chickasaw woman to a grand jury.

But U.S. Magistrate Judge William Cassady delayed a ruling on the prosecution’s request that Melissa B. Gray be jailed pending trial. He asked for more information about a recent law that makes it harder for such defendants to get out of jail before charges are resolved.

Gray will remain in jail at least until Cassady rules.

Spencer Traywick, an Alabama Bureau of Investigation agent, testified that Gray’s computer had at least 30 to 40 images of child pornography as well as incest stories involving young boys. He said experts from the Department of Public Safety in Montgomery were still analyzing the hard drive.

Traywick testified that Gray, 29, also had a small amount of marijuana and a prescription for Percocet when law enforcement officials searched her home last week.

Authorities accuse Gray of planning to use Percocet to drug two children in her house so they would offer no resistance while a man Gray met on the Internet molested them.

What, exactly, do we have to do as a society to rid ourselves of these vermin

It is my position that, as in many of today’s societal ills, being a pedophile is not so much a disease as it is a personal choice. Therefore, I can see no reason for any decent Society to continue to tolerate the existence of such scum. Once again I call on America to rise up, get mad, and demand that child molestation be made a capital crime and punishable by death on the first offense

Meanwhile, I’ll be watching this case closely and will report future developments. In fact, I think this case will require The Bull’s presence in the Court House. Also, check back with Us for an update on the local perverts. I’m overdue for the post and will have it out by the end of the week.

A Gold Letter Day

It is 0345 as I begin writing this… I woke up just a short while ago with someone on my mind. That someone is my son, Jacob Logan.

Fourteen years ago today Jake entered my life and he has been nothing but a pure joy ever since. I have had the opportunity to work with many teenagers over the years. Teens that had taken the high road in Life, and those that had taken the low road. I can say, without any fear of bias, that my son is the finest example of a young man that I have ever had the privilege to know. Yes, that is a hell of a statement to make but I stand by it.

There were a few years there when we were separated due to a bitter divorce however those days are now gone forever. Since June 2007, Jake lives where he belongs – here in ‘The Pasture’ with his father, The Bull. Since his arrival in Mobile, Jake has taken on the rolls of eldest son to Lady Beth and as big brother to our younger children, Sarah and the twins, Jack & Anthony. He has shown his abilities as a superior student with a knack for making friends everywhere he goes. Jake is also the rarest of kids in that he has never once complained about any chore assigned to him. His abilities at the shooting range and his attention to safety led me to present him with his first rifle, (a Ruger 10/22 carbine), on his last birthday as seen in the photo above. (I only pray that he doesn’t expect the same on every birthday! )

I could write until dawn of my admiration for my son, but you get the picture.

Goodbye Gustav, Screw You Media

Hurricane Gustav is gone. the cities of Mobile, Biloxi, Gulfport, and even New Orleans & Morgan City still stand. Heck, even the GOP convention continues.

ALL despite the bloody liberal media’s prayers to the contrary!

The leeches in our media live on destruction and death. Moreover, the bastards enjoy placing the blame for natural phenomenon squarely on George Bush’s – and the GOP’s – shoulders. How they come to such a hair-brained conclusion is beyond me. Probably been into the same crack pipe as Al Gore. It also strikes me as odd that when the media speaks of the Gulf Coast they will mention Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida – completely skipping Alabama!

The hurricane was of no major inconvenience here at The Pasture. The power blinked a time or two but never went out. There were numerous tornado warnings but I am unaware of any significant damage.

In most places the evacuations were absolutely unnecessary. The worst part of that is that when the next storm that requires evacuation of low-lying areas comes along many folk will simply stay. Then far more than eight will die.

All due to the media hyping up a storm.

Ahh… The wonderful world of Politics! The same clowns that brought our troops the promise of no armor, food, or ammo until the Democrat-required defeat could be assured, (Thank the Stars that us good guys sorta won that one…). When it comes to the Military needs Congress should remember that its job is to decide what the Pentagon can afford to spend and appropriate the necessary funds, NOT to decide what the military needs.

Air Force Tanker Deal Is In The Tank.

If you live in Alabama, and in or near the City Mobile in particular, then you know all about the big battle over the new tanker for the US Air Force. Perhaps you know more than you really wanted to know! There are billboards, TV commercials, newspaper and magazine ads everywhere.

For those that don’t know here is the story in a nutshell…

The USAF is in desperate need of replacing its fleet of ancient KC135 Stratotankers. They leak, the airframes are stress-weakened, they are way beyond their planned lifespan and, frankly, they are beginning to drop like flys. In 2001 Boeing was awarded a $23.5 billion contract to lease 100 of its KC-767 tankers to the Air Force. Then U.S. Sen. John McCain, (R-Ariz.), broke open a scandal when he revealed that Boeing had conspired with the Pentagon’s chief weapons buyer to inflate the contract price.

So, the USAF holds a competition. Two companies come out on top:

The recently disgraced, but still big-time Congressional favorite, Boeing with its KC-767, and…
Northrop/Grummanand its chief subcontractor EADS, (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co.) with their new KC-45. This plane was to be built in Mobile, AL if it won.

When the dust had settled the USAF (you know, the guys who actually have to live with the plane) chose the KC-45.

Within hours Boeing, and their ~~paid-off~~ “pocket politicians” like U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, (D-Wash.) and the infamous coward U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, (D-Mich.) began the smear job against the KC-45 and even the citizens of Mobile, AL. First it was that the plane would have foreign made parts, as does damned near every item in our military arsenal – including the Boeing offering. Then it was the statements saying that the citizens of Mobile, AL – being Southerners – couldn’t possibly build anything as technologically advanced as an Air Force tanker. It should be left to “more intelligent people”, they said. (I’ll not bother going into the endless litany of high-tech devices built in the South, or for that matter, right here in the Mobile area. The Yanks wouldn’t believe me anyway.)

When the above failed, the “pocket politicians” demanded a GAO review – and got it. Now the results are in and after almost three months of back-room politics, under-the-table payoffs, and the usual dirty-dealing, Boeing has managed to get a “re-do” at the competition. Did the GAO find that the KC-45 was inferior? No. Its two biggest gripes were that The Air Force did not give Boeing enough credit for meeting a series of technical requirements, and the service should have concluded that the long-term costs of operating Boeing’s KC-767 were lower than Northrop’s KC-45. Not that the service cost mean anything if the item is doing the job that it was built to do. Do you think that the soldier in a tank is worried about how much it cost to service that tank, or that it will protect him and kill the enemy? See my point?

Bottom line: The USAF will have to wait for a minimum of yet another year before even the decision is made.

What jerks The Bull’s chain the most is the following statement:

“This being an election year, we doubt whether any decision will be made rapidly,” Rob Stallard, an analyst at Macquarie Capital in New York, said in a note to investors. “Political support for both sides is vocal and entrenched, and in our opinion we would not be surprised if the (Air Force) ultimately buys both Airbus and Boeing tankers.”

Once again, it is politicians and the political season that is determining what equipment goes to our fighting men and women – not what gets the job done. Shouldn’t surprise me though. These are the very same (liberal) politicians that voted to deny our fighting forces their needed armor, ammo, and even food they needed in a battle zone just to make political hay.

Book Review: Historic Photos of Mobile

Now this was a pure pleasure!

The Bull received an eagerly anticipated package recently from the Turner Publishing Company. Inside was a pre-release edition of their latest ‘local interest’ books. This one was “Historic Photos of Mobile“. Right away they had my full attention as there is nothing closer to my heart than the history of our great nation and all the local flavor therein. Even better, this is all about my adopted home town.

The next two hours were lost deep in the 206 pages of black-and-white photos of Mobile from the earliest days of photography right on up to the ravages of hurricane Fredrick in 1979. Also included were descriptions of the town and its history from the city’s first days as an American town in 1812. Most folk have no idea that this city has existed under eight different flags. Mobile knows history! We have seen it all: French and Spanish explorers mapping out the New World, flood waters that forced the entire town to be relocated downriver to its current location, the rise of King Cotton and the fall of the Confederacy. Mobile witnessed the Fort Mims Massacre of whites, blacks, and Creek Indians as well, and then the Battle of Mobile Bay where cannons belched fire and steel and only Americans died. Mobile built ships for both World Wars and even now is building the latest in American Naval combat ships – the “Independence”.

Through it all the culture of Mobile has shown brightly. Here, the passage of time is acknowledged yet never allowed to taint that local flavor we hold so dear. This ‘picture book’ shows all of that clearly in its 216 pages. On page 63 is a photo of five US submarines tied up for the celebration of Mardi Gras in the year 1916. Every year since The Bull arrived there has been at least one Navy vessel in port during the celebration and from what I’ve been able to learn there always has been. I passed the book through the family and to some friends of the family that have reached those Golden Years and have lived here all of their lives. Universally, the book got the highest marks.

When the book finally arrived once more here at The Pasture, I opened it and found many little notes stuck in the pages. They had been left there by one Mrs. Doris Biggs Megginson – a life long citizen of Mobile. As I read the notes they seemed to bring life and color to the old photos in a way that it is hard to express in words. Let me share a couple with you…

On page 89 is a photo of the Bay Queen, a ferry that shuttled folks across the bay for many years. Tucked in next to this picture was a tiny note that read “Mama, Willie Havard Biggs, danced across the bay many times aboard the Bay Queen“. Seems it was a common thing at one time for the girls to dance from the time the ferry left the dock on one side of the bay until the ferry reached the far shore. Can’t you just see it now in your minds eye?
Another note was next to page 39 where is shown the old Mobile City Hall and the Southern Market. The note read: “‘Mammy’ Frances Lenora Thomley Havard came in from Cottage Hill to buy groceries here“. How cool!
The final note I’ll share with you is concerning the photo of the northeast view of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. The picture shows clearly the crosses atop the spires of the Church. The note read: “During World War Two a Navy training plane clipped one of the crosses off the top of the Cathedral, took the kitchen off an apartment of one of my brother’s friends, and then hit yet another building. The young pilot died the next day. I enjoyed this book so much because it brought back so many memories…“.

Non-Use of the Code in the Fight Against Pedophiles

Nothing on this planet bothers The Bull as much as sex offenders – particularly, pedophiles. (Towel-headed terrorist come exceedingly close, but not quite…) In our fight against the monsters our State legislatures have given the local law enforcement guys plenty of tools. The problem is that due to many things, including plain and simple ‘non-concern’ on the part of those same local law enforcement personnel, those tools are not being used. Let me give you an example…

Code of Alabama 1975, Title 15, Chapter 20 – Sex Offenders

Section 15-20-25
Adult criminal sex offender – Community notification procedures.

(a) Within five business days after the responsible agency provides notice of a release or intent to transfer residence of any adult criminal sex offender, the following procedures shall apply:

(1) In the cities of Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville, and Montgomery, the chief of police shall notify all persons who have a legal residence within 1,000 feet of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender and all schools and child care facilities within three miles of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender that the criminal sex offender will be establishing his or her residence.

(2) In all other cities in Alabama with a resident population of 5,000 or more, the chief of police, or if none then the sheriff of the county, shall notify all persons who have a legal residence within 1,500 feet of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender and all schools and child care facilities within three miles of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender, that the adult criminal sex offender will be establishing his or her residence.

(3) In all other municipalities with a resident population of less than 5,000, and in all unincorporated areas, the sheriff of the county in which the adult criminal sex offender intends to reside shall notify all persons who have a legal residence within 2,000 feet of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender, and all schools and child care facilities within three miles of the declared residence of the adult criminal sex offender, that the adult criminal sex offender will be establishing his or her residence.

(b) A community notification flyer shall be made by regular mail or hand delivered to all legal residences required by this section. In addition, any other method reasonably expected to provide notification may be utilized, including, but not limited to, posting a copy of the notice in a prominent place at the office of the sheriff and at the police station closest to the declared residence of the released criminal sex offender, publicizing the notice in a local newspaper, or posting electronically, including the Internet, or other means available.

(c) Nothing in this article shall be construed as prohibiting the Department of Public Safety, a sheriff, or a chief of police from providing community notification under the provisions of this article electronically or by publication or periodically to persons whose legal residence is more than the applicable distance from the residence of an adult criminal sex offender.

(Act 99-572, p. 1283, Â§3.)

OK. Let’s look at this more closely…

Note that by the Code, Law Enforcement has five (5) days to follow through on the notification process, (Section 15-20-25 para.(a)).

In several cities specifically listed, (including Mobile, AL), the chief of police must make notification of sex offenders moving into a neighborhood, (Section 15-20-25 para.(a)(1)). This doesn’t appear to be happening. I have asked around and have yet to find someone in the city that was notified in any way that a scumbag was moving in down the street. It is possible that I have not spoken to the right person yet and the Police Dept. has refused comment.

As for the rest of the Code, and how it applies to the rest of Mobile County, The Bull spoke with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Dept. and was told that the notifications do not happen. Why? Well, I was given several reasons including lack of time and lack of manpower. In order to help out both my Community and local law enforcement, The Bull offered to volunteer his own time to handle the notifications. I was informed that it would not be possible because I might get hurt doing the job.

I never knew that operating a copy machine and placing postage on mailers was so hazardous!

When I questioned this logic I was told that I’d have to be sworn-in to do this notification job. “Well, OK! Let’s do it.”, says me.
“We don’t have the money and you have to go through the Academy”, says the deputy.
“I’m VOLUNTEERING – no pay”, I reply, “and I don’t need the physical training to make flyers and lick stamps.”
And he said, “Sorry.”

So ended that conversation with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

Do you get the feeling that someone is stonewalling me? I do.

I would recommend that you, Dear Reader, contact your State legislators and demand that these notifications, which are already required by Alabama law, be sent out by whatever means necessary. Overtime, new deputies, volunteers, retirees, or disabled Veterans. I don’t care!

Let’s get this done, Alabama! If you are reading this in another State, check and see what is going on with your notification precess. Do not assume that just because you have not been notified that there isn’t a predator living right next door. You may be surprised…

Much Gratitude to the Police

As regular readers of this blog will know, The Bull doesn’t have any issue at all about tossing out shyte on those deserving – even if those deserving are the Government, the Churches (even mine), or the Police.

Keeping the above statement in mind, let me tell you about yesterday, and a story of when the local constabulary got everything right despite much interference and aggravation…

The Bull, Lady Beth, and two of our older children were in the van. We had just dropped off the three youngest at their Dad’s house and were stopped at the first traffic light after leaving his neighborhood. Suddenly, there was the screaming of rubber and then a harsh lurch and crunch of metal. We had been hit from behind! Everyone seemed to be fine and with the adrenalin flowing The Bull launched from the van to see:
a) if the driver of the truck that hit us was OK,
b) to check the damage to our van, and then…
c) to see if said driver deserved and/or needed killing.

Man, was The Bull ever pissed off! The World’s Most Precious Cargo was in that van – my Family – though good fortune was with us in the fact that the three smallest had just vacated that rear seat.

Turns out that we were hit by a big, rather new, black Dodge Ram 4×4 pick-up. The driver was a standard issue idiot with greasy black hair, thin facial hair, cheaply done tribal tattoos, who was smoking a cigarette and talking on a cell phone. The asshole didn’t even get off the phone when he hit us! When I walked up to his door and found him sitting there with the window down, smoking, and carrying on his conversation like nothing had happened, I lost a bit of my normally cool composure and lit into him – verbally, mind you – like R. Lee Ermey mashing the maggots in the movie Full Metal Jacket! I demanded that he turn off his truck, which he did – nervously. Then I told him to get off of that f***ing cell phone and get out his license and insurance info for the cops who were already on the way. (Lady Beth had been busy on our cell phone in the moments since the impact.)

That’s when this grab-asstic douche bag of phlegm looked at me eye-to-eye for the very first time. It was written all over his face…

He didn’t want anything more to do with The Bull, and even worse – the Police! No matter what else though, I was determined to carry on going through the prescribed motions in an accident situation like exchanging info and waiting for the police before moving the cars. So, I told the guy to stay right there and not to even think about moving that truck while I got my insurance info from the van. Sure enough, as soon as my back was turned the truck fired up and he was turning to head out on a reverse course down Bellingrath Road!

I don’t know if I should put the following in print. Then again, perhaps I should just to show the Leftist Liberals what we mean when we say that those of us with Concealed Carry (CCW) permits are the safest, most responsible Gun Owners of all.

This penis-stain had already hit us from behind, shown zero remorse, damaged our property, and endangered our health (remember my previous spinal cord injuries and implants that don’t take well to sudden impacts). Now he comes within a fraction of hitting me with that truck as he peels out, leaving the scene of an accident! Well folks, The Bull does have a legally issued Pistol Permit and carries a big .45 caliber hog-leg every minute of every day. Moreover, I’m pretty damned good with it and don’t consider practice to be challenging until the targets are in excess of 100 yards downrange. Two hundred yards or moving targets are even more fun! I’ll admit to seriously wanting to put a round into his engine block or even his personal ‘boiler room’. However, the weapon did not enter my hand and I left this moron’s capture up to the proper authorities.

The only thing worse than looking down the barrel of a loaded weapon pointed at your head is the memories of having had pulled the trigger on another human – even ass-wipes like this idiot. Don’t get me wrong. If the time comes that I fell I must draw down on someone to protect my family and/or home, then I will. I’ll also pull the trigger. This particular situation did not fit the criteria for the use of deadly force.

Here is where he story takes a couple of “interesting”, if not terribly funny, turns.

While all of this was going on, witnesses were gathering and Lady Beth was on our cell phone calling the police and letting her ex-husband know what had happened. Her ‘ex’ is a cop in a nearby island town. She was talking to him when the ass-wipe took off and the ‘ex’ instantly dove into his cruiser and went looking for the guy who was headed back towards where we had just dropped of the kids. Another fellow who had been nearly hit by the perp when he ran drove up to the accident scene minutes later. He had followed the perp and when he turned off the main road he came back to let us know which way the ass had went. (Who said Good Citizenship is dead?) This info was immediately passed on to the ‘ex’ who was even then at the end of that side road.

By now the local police had arrived at the accident scene. Two cruisers. They asked me to try to start the van and move it into a nearby parking lot. I complied. One cruiser stayed with us while the other headed off towards where the ‘ex’ had just found and stopped the perp.

Then the questions and paperwork began.

Since The Bull attempts to be a good citizen himself, I informed the officers of my armed status and offered my Pistol Permit along with my drivers license and insurance information. I asked the officer if he would like to secure the weapon himself or if I should do so. The officer thanked me for informing him and went to secure my Vaquero. He seemed rather impressed with the weapon, but before he could ask any questions there was a sudden explosion of screaming and cursing coming from the front doors of the little store behind us.

Looking back towards the store we saw a white male and a black male, both shirtless, fighting as they rolled out into the parking lot. All the while a white female was screaming for someone to stop the fight before [name not clear] got killed. The officer holding my revolver just dropped it on my seat and asked us to secure it in the van’s lock-box. Then the cop and his partner (an ex-Navy “Bubblehead” previously of the USS Chicago (SSN-721)) went to break-up the fight and called back the other cruiser who was on his way to get our perp that the ‘ex’ was holding – alone – many miles out in the boonies. What a scene! What a mess!

When the fight was settled it was determined that it had started over a drug deal gone bad, and rather than be quiet about it they took their fight into the street knowing the parking lot was full of cops! (Remember those “This is your brain on drugs” commercials? ) Morons… Well, at least one of them got fitted with a new shiny set of bracelets and a free ride downtown.

That done, the cruiser that was forced to return to back up his fellow officers in the fight headed out to find the ‘ex’ and the “leaving the scene of an accident” puke that he had been holding now for quite a spell.

That end of the story is good too, for when the ‘ex’ got the word as to which road the perp had went down he headed that way a well. A couple of miles later, the perp passed him headed back towards Bellingrath having doubled-back. The ‘ex’ turned in behind him and threw on the blues. The perp, making his very first smart move of the day, pulled over.
Then came the surprise!
This moronic fool was treated to the complete ‘felony stop’ treatment with orders coming via load speaker to shut off the truck and to toss the keys out of the window. The perp complied.

This is when he ‘ex’ realized that he did not have his sidearm with him as he had bailed out of the house so fast. He did, however, have his Colt M4 carbine and a fully loaded magazine. As he approached the truck he wisely chambered a round. This does more than the obvious of making the weapon ready to fire. The sound of that bolt falling makes it crystal clear to the perp that a major weapon is ready for action and that he is the target. While shattering nerves, it tends to make fools re-think any silly actions they may be contemplating. Apparently this perp was more of an idiot than most since he managed to make some maneuver that resulted in him getting a major cussing and feeling the business end of said M4 pressed against his left temple. Reports indicate that the perp became very still at that point and developed rather stinky pants. The truck-driving moron apparently didn’t realize – until too late – that the children of the cop he was dealing with had just recently vacated the van the asshole had hit at the light.

The above situation was static for some half an hour while the ‘ex’ awaited the city cops to arrive and take the perp into custody. When they did arrive they thanked the ‘ex’, (though you’ve got to wonder what they thought when they pulled up on the scene and found a cop in civilian clothes holding a suspect at the end of a M4). Believe it or not, the idiot managed to piss off the city police as soon as they arrived and when the ‘ex’ was leaving they were in the process of giving the truck a very thorough, tear-down, search as the idiot sat handcuffed in the back seat of a patrol car.

We don’t have the finished accident report yet and won’t until the end of the week. We don’t even know the perp’s name yet as he did not have a license. Considering the newness of the truck I suspect that someone has insurance on it and that this entire event will work out in the end. I don’t know what the final outcome was with the driver of the truck yet either. If he had warrants, or did something really dumb after the ‘ex’ left, he went to the lock-up. If not, he just got a handful of tickets and was sent on his way to get clean pants. When I found out the details you can bet they will be posted here.

At any rate, I offer many heart-felt thanks to the Mobile Police Department and to Lady Beth’s ex-husband for their diligence and devotion to duty.

Moral of this story: You can only prepare yourself. However, you can’t do much about the idiocy of others.

On a much sadder note, The Bull must report that a Huntsville, AL Police Officer, one Eric Freeman, was shot in the line of duty on the evening of the 14th and died yesterday at 9:30 AM. He leaves a wife and five children. The murderer of this American Hero is in custody. More on the story can be read at Alabama Improper.

Mobile’s ‘Most Wanted’

The Bull considers it every Citizen’s duty to help out Law Enforcement whenever possible. This morning I’m posting the mugs of two of Mobile’s ‘Most Wanted’. I picked these two because of their crimes. Offenses against children ans women get to me in ways I find hard to express. Let’s get these guys off the streets!

The Mobile County Sheriff is seeking Kenneth Young, 44, for failure to verify residency and failure to transfer residency. In 1983, Young was found guilty of attempting to rape a 6-year-old girl. In January, Young registered with the Sheriff’s Office as a convicted sex offender. In September, deputies attempted to verify Young’s address but discovered that he moved. This bastard needs to be nabbed, and soon! The Bull wants Mr. Young back behind bars serving ‘hard time for a long time’.

In the City of Mobile, David Kirksey, 39, is being sought for second-degree domestic violence. Kirksey is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and breaking her arm on April 24. Kirksey was on the previous most wanted list. Another outstanding example of the dregs of humanity here. He considers himself ‘manly’ from breaking a girl’s arm. The bastard. He’ll be someone’s “lil’ bitch” within two hours of hitting the jail house. Guess that is why he’s running…

Do your part to make our Community a safer place. If you see one of these guys, then pick up the phone and dial 911. Do not attempt to take them down yourself! This is a matter for the police! That said, if you catch one of them in your home, just remember “Castle Doctrine”.

MRSA in Gulf Coast Schools Is Being Ignored

If you are a parent and have not heard of the drug-resistant form of staph known as MRSA running through the school systems of America, then you have been hiding under a rock! The story really got going when a student from the school district The Bull himself graduated from, (Bedford County, VA.), died as this super-bug ravaged his body. This victim was 17-year-old Ashton Bonds, a student at the Staunton River High School. A tragedy to be sure, but could it have been prevented?

Sources to The Bull have informed me that in one Pensacola, FL inner-city school there is an employee (non-teacher position)that is a carrier of MRSA who is being actively treated for the disease and has at least four open ‘colonies’ of the bacteria on the body at this moment, is still working with the students – every day – even though the school principal was informed the moment that the said employee was diagnosed! The school official actually made the comment, (as quoted to The Bull), that the employee should “just keep this information between us“. Another comment made by a school system employee recently was that “this entire staph thing is just being blown all out of proportion“. (Said employee was told by a doctor that hospitalization may soon be required.)

Excuse the heck outta me! Children are dying! “Out of proportion“? When it comes to the health and welfare of my kids, nothing concerning staph is out of proportion! The Bull wants to know ALL! Is this an example of how our school systems feel about the health of our children? How many school principals are keeping such secrets How many kids are now infected, or possibly condemned to death, by this one principal’s lack of concern? There are all kinds of staph. I’ll assume. for the sake of argument, the principal thinks this employee is mistaken. Let’s further assume for a moment that someone would say they have MRSA, but don’t actually have the disease. Why would you take the risk?

Frankly, if this kind of active cover-up is going on in the school system of Pensacola, FL, then what are the chances of the same kind of crime vs. humanity happening here in Mobile, AL? What about your school system, Dear Reader? Speaking of Pensacola, when will that school district over there do the right thing and clean their schools? Or is it, Pensacola, simply that your inner city kids are not worth the effort and expense? Here’s a hint: What starts in the inner city doesn’t necessarily stay in the inner city. Wake up, Pensacola! Wake up, America!

This has been going on for a while it seems. School systems all over the Nation are reporting outbreaks, schools are being closed for cleaning everywhere. Already we have had school closures in nearby communities and confirmed cases this bug in the Spanish Fort, AL schools, and that is just across Mobile Bay. On October 12th 11-year-old Shae Keirnan of Vancleave, MS died of this disease. That’s too close to home.
Mobile, it seems, is surrounded.

May the Gods watch over our children. After all, our school systems won’t…

Addendum: The above mentioned school employee had reportedly made the condition known to the local health department. According to the employees’ statement, the Florida Health Dept was less than concerned.

Why am I not surprised? Yes, staph is everywhere. MRSA, however, is not and The Bull would like to keep it that way.

First off, not all staph is MRSA! Staph is everywhere. There is no escaping it. Most of the time it is just another of the wee bugs colonizing our homes and our skin. However, there are strains of the bacteria that given a chance will indeed wreck your day. This particular bug goes far beyond that and is a real danger to your life and the lives of your children.

What is MRSA anyway?

According to Wikipedia, “Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), is also known as oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA), multiple-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, CA-MRSA (community-acquired MRSA) and HA-MRSA (hospital-acquired MRSA). It is a biological agent responsible for difficult-to-treat infections in humans. (MSSA is Methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus.)

How bad is this staph infection anyway?

Do NOT allow yourself be lulled by the thought that the death of Ashton was an isolated incident. Far from it! According to a study by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a government study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association earlier this month, estimated that more than 90,000 Americans suffered from MRSA in 2005, including 18,650 deaths. The researchers do not know if the MRSA strain was the cause in all cases.

How can you catch this bug?

It can be as simple as a touch.
Handshakes, kisses, any skin-to-skin contact with a person with open wounds containing the bacteria. My sources tell me that it can be caught from a toilet seat. (Note to Ladies: Practice ‘hovering’ when you pee…) Again, according to Wikipedia, S. aureus most commonly colonizes the nostrils, although the respiratory tract, open wounds, intravenous catheters, and urinary tract are also potential sites for infection. Healthy individuals may carry MRSA asymptomatically for periods ranging from a few weeks to many years. Patients with compromised immune systems are at a significantly greater risk of symptomatic secondary infection.

What does it look like? How can I tell if my child is infected?

Most, but not all, people who are symptomatic present with painful pus-filled boils and occasionally with rashes. Check your kids – and yourself – for anything looking like a pimple that doesn’t seem to go away or becomes very inflamed. Don’t worry about being thought an annoyance. If something doesn’t look or feel right, see your doctor immediately!

How can MRSA be treated?

“CA-MRSA, (commonly aquired MRSA), often results in abscess formation that requires incision and drainage. Before the spread of MRSA into the community, abscesses were not considered contagious because it was assumed that infection required violation of skin integrity and the introduction of staphylococci from normal skin colonization. However, newly emerging CA-MRSA is transmissible (similar, but with very important differences) from hospital-acquired MRSA. CA-MRSA is less likely than other forms of MRSA to cause cellulitis.

“Both CA-MRSA and HA-MRSA are resistant to traditional anti-staphylococcal beta-lactam antibiotics, such as cephalexin. CA-MRSA has a greater spectrum of antimicrobial susceptibility, including to sulfa drugs, tetracyclines, and clindamycin. HA-MRSA is resistant even to these antibiotics and often is susceptible only to vancomycin. Newer drugs, such as linezolid (belonging to the newer oxazolidinones class), may be effective against both CA-MRSA and HA-MRSA.

A new type of antibiotic, called platensimycin, and had demonstrated its successful use against MRSA. Don’t hold your breath, though… The FDA is years away from allowing this life saver to be used. (Gotta protect the pharmaceuticals companies from lawsuits, you know… )

How can I prevent this from happening to me and/or my family?

Simple. CLEAN! MRSA can survive on surfaces and fabrics, including clothing, curtains, furniture and on hard surfaces like countertops, doorknobs, toilet seats and flush handles. Simply put, it is where you are. The very best way to disinfect is to use vaporizing sanitizers, however that is rather specialized equipment. The best thing to do is to remember K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid). Clean every surface possible. Wash your hands – often! And don’t forget the hand sanitizer! Alcohol has proven to be very effective in killing staph on surfaces. Drive the idea of personal hygiene into your kids. It just might save their lives.

The Bull sincerely hopes that this post will force the hands of those in charge of our children to work harder and smarter to keep them safe from such disease. I also hope to see a full investigation of the Pensacola, FL school system. That kind of indifference is completely unacceptable, if not criminal.

Pagan Pride Day in Mobile, AL

Today was Pagan Pride Day here in Mobile, AL and your intrepid writer and bloated ego,The Bull, was proud to be counted as one of those Pagans in attendance. It’s been quite a while since I was in the fellowship of others of my kind and it felt rather good I must say. Despite some minor concerns of security, (provided ably by the local Heathen contingent and the USA Police Dept.), of a possible Muslim incursion, the day went off without a hitch.

We couldn’t have conjured better weather had we tried and the facilities supplied by the University of South Alabama were superb. I offer my sincerest thanks to that fine institution for their support of all Americans rights to Freedom of Religion.

I do think the time has come for me to retake my rightful place in Pagan Society. I’ve healed all I’m going to from my injuries, have come to terms with my limitations, and just possibly have something left to give back to the Faith that directed me to the Life I lead now as a strong-willed, dedicated, American who loves his Country.

As a side note though, I should mention that The Bull did set out a collection box for our rescue, Chaos & Critters, and collected more money in five hours than that same box garnered in eighteen months at B&B Pet Stop here in Mobile. Perhaps that says something about the generosity of Pagans. The fact that no one tried to steal from it says more about the afore mentioned store! (See my previous post here.)
